A lot of people feel this way. Do you think that if your lifetime, terrorists would be able to get their hands on a nuclear bomb and use it on a major US city? We roughly have 60 years left to live. Do you think this will happen within that time period?

With significant advances and every improving technology, I think it's only a matter of time. Do I think this will happen in my lifetime? I believe so.
 
Nope.
Fissionable material is actually hard to come by.
Entire countries have devoted a great deal of effort and money only to come up with Jack fucking squat.
 
Small possibility, if a state actor (NK, Pakistan) is behind it. And of course, AQ Khan will be behind that.

On the table but have much more "that's scary" power than actual destructive power, hard to get them to work and even harder to design them so they'll disperse the radioactive material over anything but a small area.
Not worth it for a would be terrorist. Better as a story for CNN to frighten everybody with than an effective weapon.
 
People think aquiring nuclear material, applicable in Nuclear weapons is so easy (i blame US Media).

dirty bombs aren't designed to win wars. fear is a powerfull tool.
 
The minute Iran acquires a nuke it's all over.... So yes i think we'll see something like this in our life time

Weell... There going to be giving nukes terrorist or just using them themselves. You know they refer to the u.s as great Satan and Israel as little Satan.

Not to mention their supreme leader claims to have met with the Mahdi in 2010 and they believe their purpose is to bring on Armageddon to usher in the Mahdi as the world savior.

Don't believe me? Look er up. Mahdi Is also referred to as the twelfth imam. And Iran is dead serious about this to as they even brought it up at the u.n

They've largely given up their bomb ambitions and need to make a show of bluster for regional hespect.
I see Iran as a dangerous power that wants to be more of a legit regional player
