UFC is going down. Triller fight pays right. Bellator has Michael Page who is exciting as fuck. Other smaller promotions have wild fighters who are not willing to be reebok/UFC sponsored drones.

Trust me man, its a different world out there. Just because a fighter is not famous does not mean they are no good. UFC is no longer about the best. Its about docile personalities who are easy to control and fight for the least amount of pay.

Werdum, Reem, DC, JDS etc were years past their best at the time though. The second half of the 2010s was pretty much Stipe beating up a bunch of washed up 00s/early 10s legends.
 
Yeah and every event nowadays is full of a bunch of nobodies and wmma fights. I barely watch fight night cards nowadays.
 
It is not in a good moment. Champions are just consolidating themselves and there are no great rivalries ahead. I am looking forwardf to Yan vs. Sterling 2, but for the wrong reasons.

Other than that, I am hyped about O'Malley and Islam.
 
The UFC needs to work on their new breed of stars. So far it looks like Khazmat is the next big thing.
 
People sometimes feel an odd sense of inner loyalty to their own hobbies. It’s ok to fall out of interest with things, and I definitely drift in and out of my own spheres of interest. I think it’s important that we avoid turning recreation into labor, as innate a reflex as that may be for us all. Obviously there is a point where losing interest in everything becomes a very real concern, but removing your attention from MMA is not something you need to justify. It’s all good.

A couple of the fitness guys I follow on Instagram tried their hand at MMA, so I watched their fights.
I have to tell you, watching low-level MMA will make you thirsty for UFC!
 
There's too many cards and too many guys under contract. Add to that DWCS constantly churning out guys who aren't going to go anywhere.
