I used to have a turtle just like that. His name was Ted. He guarded our raspberries from snails. Just fucking destroyed any snail that was in there. He ran away somehow. I think he boroughed under the fence when it was hibernation time. Either that or my mom just gave him away and lied. She would do that.

The major difference between the two is that 'tortoises' dwell on land and have a hard bottom, while 'turtles' live in the water part of the time and have a soft bottom.

Those things will bite right through human bone. Fingers, toes, hands, and feet. Huge pressure on those jaws. That guy is pretty stupid to be handling one like that.
