I guess Milwaukee has really taken a shit in the last few years. A friend of mine was living there for a while and had to move a couple of years ago because it starting getting too nuts.

It is a shit hole. The cops will not investigate car thefts unless it is a car jacking. They just take your VIN in the police report and if it shows up as part of another crime they will give you a call. Fuck that city.

As far as how bad the city actually is, it depends on where you are. Its an extremely segregated city. Its often ranked as the most segregated in the nation. There are places I feel comfortable with my sister walking by herself at 2 am, and there are places where I wouldn't feel safe walking at 2 pm. Milwaukee Public Schools are also atrocious. It wouldn't surprise me if a bunch of these kids didn't even know how HIV and syphilis are even transmitted.
