Team Quest, ATT, or Chute Boxe USA?

HaHa. There you go. Really with those choices comes down to the individual. And already you are a lucky man.:icon_lol:

Any at all and you will just learn what works and some moreso in situations better than others and from there will have little to do with which club....from your choices especially.

in addition, please dont walk in there and talk about your plans to train all day everyday, because they have heard it all before and will probably just laugh at you.

depends on what quest school, ATT is the real deal, and chute boxe USA is ok but the school you want is in brazil
Where do you get the Chute Boxe school is "ok"? The school just opened. Wouldn't you be offended if someone said that about Gracie Barra affilated schools?

Good point. I assumed cb would have it covered for these guys.

Gotcha. Thanks for the heads up. I talked to my friend today and we are still in a bind. It's between ATT and Team Quest. I think we might actually just have to go to both and check them out sometime between now and December before we make our final decision. Thanks for all the input though guys. i appreciate it.

If I could only choose from these 2 schools I'd go with ATT. But a few fighters have made it to the UFC simply becasue they are affiliated with Team Quest so blah.

no actually I wouldnt, because its opinion. Has chute boxe america produce anyone beside tanner who trained their for a few months? Yes its a new school, but compare to ATT and Quest its OK. And i'll be the first to admit Gracie Barra Combat Team is an ok team. Beside Babalu, Daniel gracie, and Pe ne Pano their not making big moves. Gracie Barra Jiu Jitsu one the other hand is one of the top teams in the grappling world no question.

Daniel is not GBCT. For MMA he's part of Renzo's team.

hey can anyone tell me if ATT has a payment option for unlimited classes per month? I know a lot of places have that option for a little extra you can get unlimited classes monthly, does anyone know if ATT offers this? And if not, how much is it monthly for... all the MMA classes they offer (BJJ, boxing, MT, and idk if they have it but wrestling). Thanks

Team Quest has a good system with their scheduling.
Even though they have big classes, I always get enough attention from the coaches and other members to keep learning.
Good atmosphere/attitude all around, obviously high skill level atheletes/coaches, good facility (seperate boxing and grappling sections, bag room, showers etc).
If you're serious, just get a free class at each place and see what you think. You'll get a great workout at worst.

but i'm saying i want to go in and just start learning and then practice what i've learned some, and then learn some more and practice what i learned some, and then if classes aren't going on maybe have open mat or be free to spar or something.

I'm not someone who would ever discourage anyone from pursuing their dreams. In fact, I commend you for having the courage to move to a new area and start training. However, there are a couple of salient points that I want to add to this thread:

1) Both ATT and Team Quest are great MMA teams. You really can't go wrong with either one.

2) The human mind/body typically does not respond to your desired training ideal. Your mind and body both need time to recuperate. You need time to consolidate what you have learned mentally otherwise the learning process will be inefficient.

3) From your posts, it sounds like you're looking for a place where you can train 9 to 5 every day. Not even top professional MMA fighters train 9 to 5. Don't get me wrong, top MMA teams do engage in a hard and rigorous training regimen. However, a full day of nothing but training is suboptimal. It sounds to me that you need to try one class first before opting to spend an entire day in back to back to back classes.

4) Despite what physical condition that you are at this point, you are going to be a rank beginner. You are going to get your ass beat down by the more experienced/skilled members of your class. Overtraining in the beginning may very well backfire and you are very likely to sustain injuries.

Good points. Thanks for the input man, and thanks to you guys and talking to the people running the schools, we've realized it's not the smartest thing to do to train all day every day and yeah i will without a doubt get my ass beat down for a good while at first. and i cant wait!

Go for ATT. I don't know what the other facilities like team quest are like, but I train at ATT in Boca Raton with Marcel Ferreria, and it's great training. Like everyone else said don't worry about training all day, because most of the kids who come in thinking that there going to spend all day in the gym ussually get burned out and don't return. If your really serious though you can ussually find times to train all through out the day at the main facility at coconut creek. You can take evenening BJJ classes and boxing/ MT classes during the day and weekends.

Compared to me seeing him train 3-4 times a week at Renzo's before his fights? I don't know. :D
