I began rewatching Taxi and I have to say what an absolute gem of a show. The dark comedy, drama and characters are simply astounding.

I remember I began watching this show when I was 12 or so when it was on reruns on Nick and Nite and loved it. I’ve returned to it and the show is still amazing as ever.

Anybody else a fan?

One of the GOAT sit coms, Judd Hirsch was an underrated actor, Danny Devito is Danny Devito and Andy Kaufman was one of the comedy greats , his life was brilliant performance art imo

I'v always ment to watch more of it, besides starting when I was a few months old it was a bit too early to really be picked up on in the UK, Cheers a few years latter was the first US sitcom to get shown much here.

absolute classic. What an ensemble cast too- Hirsch, Henner, Devito, Danza, Conaway, Kaufman, Lloyd, Kane, etc all delivered.

I feel like Taxi paved the way for GOAT-tier sitcoms like Cheers. And, if you’re making a list of the best sitcoms of all time, I think Taxi could very well be considered a potential top 10 and a clear top 20.
