Tax cuts - what you understand by this term?

I am, however, completely for removing FICA or making it optional

I don't need it when i'm older, i'd rather invest that 7.65% myself tbh

That 3% is a very general number. Lots of places vary % wise depending on circumstances.

But, they usually don't.

Most people get a 2-5% increase at best, unless they get promoted to a new title.

Didn't trump run on improving the infrastructure of this country? How exactly is he going to accomplish that with such a huge tax cut?

Great question. Or pay for a wall?

See Ireland... that's why you lower the tax rate.

You guys are two steps behind the large corps. They move their money offshore to get a better tax rate. Therefore we don't get the full amount of taxes because they're giving it to a different country because our tax rate is so high here.

So the idea is to lower that tax rate to incentivize them to keep the money here and not in country the size of Indiana.
If there weren't loopholes and corporate welfare to undermine the statue

probably by cutting block grants for education, and stipulating their use for infrastructure instead

I can legit totally see them doing that
edit: it goes w/o saying, that i'm not for this....at all

to be fair his point has merit, if corporations had a reasonable rate of Taxation they would leave their money here and we would have less manipulation of the tax code but there is so many ways to manipulate the tax code it makes no sense to drop the stated rate
It's kinda like trying to add UHC w/o addressing the absurd costs first....

Right idea in theory, but not smoothing out the bottlenecks to implementing succesfully

Good point I've also wondered how soon they will start railing against the post office again not realizing that the post office has paid retirement in advance for employees that haven't even been hired yet Millions upon millions of dollars getting used for other bullshit.
Then they will say that the post office is inefficient but please show me one company in this whole fucking world that can send a letter across a nation for $0.49

Cutting money for education would be the dumbest thing to do. More money should be going to this. Our schools are already a joke.

doubt it

they will likely cut the SW related programs and depts., likely the NPS

but things like the Military, Post Office and other large bodies that employ mad people tend to be safe if not supported more under GOP leadership

One thing I would like to see eliminated is pensions for government employees. That would be a good start. It won't happen though.

Or you can keep the rates and not allow manipulation of the code.

and you say that as a resident of the nicest part of SoCal haha

imagine if you lived and went to schools in say Imperial or San Bernardino counties? not the same property taxes collected haha

Education, IMO, shouldn't be a Reserved Power to the states but rather an Enumerated one tot he Federal Government to at least set some national standards, curriculum, etc....thus decreasing the effects going to a school in a low income area can have
