Tap-Out gear in the gym. Is there any higher level of douchery? I see these guys who have obviously never trained (mma) a day in their life doing everything they can to get their dicks wet off some chick that doesn't know any better. I'll be honest. I'm not the biggest gfuy in the world (6'2" 200lbs) but I do o.k. These fucking dildos feed off people like myself and (hopefully you) hard working enthusiasts. We all know there's only one reason to wear tap-out. Either you're getting sponsored or you train. Am i the only one who places them in the same group as 1/4 squaters and curl monkeys? discuss..........

Tap Out does a lot to help young fighters. Buying Tap Out clothing gives the company more money to help more young fighters. So I don't care at all if someone wears Tap Out stuff to lift or to hit the bars, so long as they're not being an aggressive ahole. But if they're being an aggressive ahole, I wouldn't like them regardless of what they're wearing.

I don't wear Tap Out stuff simply because I don't like how the clothes look, but I wouldn't place someone who does wear that stuff in the same category as people who monopolize important equipment to stroke their own egos. That's comparing apples to assholes.

tap out at the gym, home or workplace carries a high level of douchery. it rivals affliction

I usually ask those kind of dudes, in Tap Out, Affliction, whatever, if they train.
9 times out of 10 they don't train.
Then I use it as an opportunity to talk up my club, see if they wanna learn some of teh Judo.

QFT

Nothing wrong with supporting companies that support the sport.

I know it's kind of ironic seeing as I do train and fight, but still I've noticed that most people that wear Tapout/Affliction shirts etc. are people I would love to show what fighting is all bout.

I've noticed that about 90% of these guys are what I like to call "talkers." These are the guys that who will wear said clothing and talk endlessly about the last UFC event and tell you how they are training for the sport too. In reality these douchbags usually last about 2-3 months at a MMA gym tops before they realize this shit isn't what you see on TV. It fucking hurts, and it sucks. Then they quit, and continue to tell people how they used to train and are getting back into the sport.

Cliff notes: Fuck those assholes.

Honestly, it's just a piece of fucking fabric covering your body. I once wore a Pittsburg Pirates hat to a Minnesota Twins bar (unknowingly) before. They flipped shit. I did not even remember it was a Pittsburg Pirates hat. I did not give a shit. People who wear their team's colors/symbols with pride need to understand that the team wins or loses whether you wear their bullshit or not.

This and a couple of posts in the "favorite idiot' thread are the only posts you have in here- the rest of your little gems are in Heavyweights, Contenders, and War Room. Keep your shitheaded 'discuss' threads in there, Fuckwheat.

i dont fucking care. i wear oakland raiders shirts and i dont play football. same fucking thing.

QFT...you just about summed up my experience with people who wear tapout. However I do respect what tapout the company does for up and coming fighters.

Most people I've met with tapout shirts are eager to learn about the sport even if they dont know a lot already. They're not necessarily bad people.

The more people, regardless of who they are, that want to dump money into the sport, the better, IMO. Buy it up, couch potatoes! Merchandising FTW!

I'm confused.. what is 'obvious' about them that they don't train?

I wasn't aware that people who train in MMA exuberate some kind of aura.

There's a guy that owns a tiger schulman's franchise that works out at the same gym as i do...

He wears tapout gear to the gym and tries to recruit buff dudes to come "train with the tiger."

I have heard those words come out of his mouth several times. If he says them to me, I might get locked up shortly thereafter...

I feel that even as a fan of the sport, I can wear the gear, because I support the fighters as well as the orgs. Thus if I am to support MMA I must wear the sponsors of the sport. As well I train bjj therefore I can wear it any way becuase I tap people out.

Got issues?

Also, it's been a while since I've wasted my time in a gym, I'll spend my energy at BJJ practice frankly, but if I did go, I would wear my Tapouts just because they are easily the most interesting shorts I have.

word of advice: try your local gay bar if you want to keep staring at other guys shorts...

and get a life.
