Id also like to add that Goodlatte and Gowdy have been investigating the FBI actions during 2016, the Russia investigation and the Hillary E-mail since October of last year. It’s ballsy to grandstand like this and demand the Russia collusion investigation wrap up because it’s tearing the country apart.

Here we have the accusation that Russia was involved with a Presidential campaign to sway the last election and its the investigation which had the potential to tear the country apart? He was just quoting from an article. I'm sure Rosenstein knows this; he's probably well familiar with the subpoeaning of phone records, but was desperate to add levity in what was looking to be a very uncomfortable situation for him.

He was just quoting from an article. I'm sure Rosenstein knows this; he's probably well familiar with the subpoeaning of phone records, but was desperate to add levity in what was looking to be a very uncomfortable situation for him.

He also added levity by pointing out that his testimony was being done under oath with the threat perjury while the people making the accusations were not under oath or threat of perjury.

And when Rod pointed out that you can't subpoena phone calls Jordan didn't reiterate or try and clarify that he meant records. He just sat there stunned for a second before deflecting that he was just reading media reports.
