Take this IQ test and post your score

was pretty easy

Wow that's crazy you're a genius my friend. Up there with Garry Kasparov. I take it you're great at chess?

116 but I got bored and guessed the last 4 or 5. But I probably wasn’t getting those last few right anyway.

131, but honestly these test are all a bunch of bullshit. The more you do them the better your results are.

I havent taken one in over 3 years but I still remember some things from some other tests, like the approach needed to solve these things. The supposedly claim that 6 months-year is enough to forget but I dont believe it.

Also, many of these riddles have the exact same logic but with different shapes. So if you "get" the first one then you can just as easily solve the other 10 with the same approach. They don't really become progressively harder.

Finally, the whole 3 rows put a missing object in is so outdaded. The whole concept just seems inferior compared to some decisionmaking you would do in come difficult computer game (a platformer like crash bandicoot) where not only do you need to solve things but do it with perfect reaction time and on the spot adjustment.
Yeah the last one of these I did was pattern based and I scored 127, so automatically I was suspicious.

To be honest how fast you beat Portal is probably a better IQ test than some of these things.

I guessed through them pretty quickly and got 130, I think this test just bullshit that mensa want people to spend money on getting a certified IQ test.

Pattern recognition is only a very small part of what we consider intelligence makes up. This test does not take into account memory, mathematic, verbal skills, and hand eye coordination.

Already passed it on 2 different occasions before, got 138 and 142 respectively. I am rather smart.

25 minutes? I'd rather use that Sherdog time to look at a titty thread [<diva3}

I don't know if that makes me a pervert or a genius <Fedor23>
I think it’s sound logic, and to be fair, I don’t consider the two to be mutually exclusive.

Did it in 17 minutes, got 120. Why did I waste the time I could have been snacking.

112

These tests are nonsense in regards to real world intelligence though.
I had to take a test similar to this for a job a few years ago, and my former idiot roommate scored only a couple points lower than I did on the same test.

My roommate was a complete fucking dolt. He was basically socially retarded and would probably lose his head if it wasn't attached to him. He was the type of guy that thought girls were into him when they weren't, or he would think a job interview went well when it didn't.

Some people are wicked good at shit like this, and some people are not. It is simply one form of intelligence and nothing more.

a traditional IQ test (lets use Stanford Binet) is more like an ASVAB, in that it tests pattern/spatial orientation along w/ more traditional verbal/math based puzzles

I've taken several of these and I always end up with 135

Did it in 4 minutes.

Pretty run of the mill test tbh

Anyone know how these tests are scored, by the way? is there always ONE correct answer, or can multiple answers be correct? Because sometimes I feel like I'm seeing patterns the designers hadn't thought of.

Actually, this is a secret fashion test. If you select the most aesthetically pleasing pattern, instead of logic based one, you receive like an internship with (insert well known fashion company name here).

Kind of like The Last Starfighter, but for fashion. Tell me anyone who watched that movie as a kid, doesn't, at some level, think he is secretly being tested for some super ultra cool intergalactic military elite squad, every time he plays some new video game.

Or is it just me?

I started, then got stuck on a pattern and realized all of them are just pattern puzzles. Fuck this bullshit test.

Real IQ tests examine different aspects of your intelligence, not just detecting patterns.
Gotta agree.

Maybe later - aint' got time for simon says tests atm.
