When Jones and DC left the LHW division for different reasons it became a joke.

Gus is the only truly world class fighter in that division IMO. And he is very inactive.

LW on the other hand. Khabib, Lee, Ferguson, Poirier.

You can make several great fights between the 4 of them.

And the division is stacked overall as well.

So does LW miss Conor at the moment?

LW is still the strongest division in the UFC. With Conor or without.

Take away PPV buys, LOL. Yeah, let's take away the only thing that keeps the UFC running and allows them to put on events and pay fighters in the first place, not like that would be important or anything.

Let's say he was never to fight again, it would be a huge bummer. He IS the champ (I know, not defending, yada, yada...), and we would see countless of threads, for good reason, asking: Would McGregor beat those guys? Just to have some sort of closure, he needs to come back and fight, win or lose.

It wouldn't.. But we ended up with the iaquinta championship belt, so maybe.

Conor hasn't added that much to the LW division in terms of ppv buys as he's only had one fight at LW.
LW is deep but it still misses Conor whether it's him in the the division fighting or the massive income he'd bring.

2 years away and still there are constant discussions, comparisons and debates about the guy...
in fact, the fact you felt the need to make this thread and ask the question - answers it in itself lol.

LOL, Mcgregor's one fight at LW generated 1.3 million buys. PPV buys for Ferguson vs Lee at was 125,000. Mcgregor added more in value from one fight than Ferguson would in 10.

Do people hate Mcgregor so much they're just going to try and deny reality, now? You guys are in a really bad place...

The Conor boxing fight had its own subforum for over 6 months after the fight happened. That even then had threads added on a regular basis. Right now MMA in general just does not have anyone who would stir up the frenzy McGregor would if he opted to have a LW title defense this year.

Take away his brain, was Einstein really that smart?

His one fight of 1.3 m buys is way more than anybody else achieved at LW. Even legend B.J. Penn is a distant 2nd and 3rd and that was years ago. By contrast Ferguson and Lee managed a pitiful 200,000.

He's a great fighter, but the division moves on. He's basically irrelevant at this point. Khabib won the belt less than a month a go and he's alreada got like 3-4 guys with legit arguments to fight him. If you take awaw the theatrics and the PPV numbers, he's as missed as Tony Ferguson is.

Did you read what I wrote? You quoted it but you clearly didn't read it.

You read the 2nd line right? You quoted both of them.
How difficult is it to read a post, that's 2 of you here now who don't seem able to.

He was barely around for a cup of coffee

He will not be missed.

PPV means fuck all to the fans, as a fan do I want him fighting? absolutely, can we still have a great LW fight without him? absolutely

LOL@ the dummies who think Conor won't be missed.

Who has generated more excitement both outside and inside the cage than Conor? Who builds up a fight better than him? And who actually delivers more than Conor?

I swear, I've been following MMA for 18 years and I've NEVER seen a saltier group than Conor haters.

I clearly did. You said Conor hadn't contributed much in terms of PPV buys because he'd only had one fight and I pointed out that his one fight generated more PPV buys than pretty everyone else in the division has in their entire careers.
