Good god almost lost another one.... as if 267 wasn't beat up bad enough with all the bullshit. Good on Tai... sucks for Walt. Since the loss of his daughter, dude can't catch a break =/

I'm glad that isn't going down, I want Walt to pick up a win... Guy is on a three fight losing streak with all losses being stoppages, he needs a gimme fight.

A lightweight bout between former UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael dos Anjos and Islam Makhachev was also expected to take place at the event.[10] The pairing has previously been scheduled and cancelled twice. First in October 2020 at UFC 254 and then two weeks later at UFC Fight Night: Felder vs. dos Anjos with both participants pulling out due to separate health related issues.[11][12] However, dos Anjos was yet again forced to withdraw from the event due to injury. It is unclear if a replacement will be sought by the UFC officials.[13]

A featherweight bout between Zubaira Tukhugov and Ricardo Ramos is expected to take place at this event.[14] The pairing previously was scheduled to compete at UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs. Muhammad, but Tukhugov pulled out due to undisclosed reasons.[15]

A light heavyweight bout between former light heavyweight title challenger Volkan Oezdemir and Magomed Ankalaev was originally expected to take place at UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Till.[16] However, the bout was postponed to this event for unknown reasons.[17]

A middleweight bout between Alen Amedovski and Hu Yaozong is expected to take place at the event.[18] The pairing was previously scheduled to take place at UFC 264, but it was cancelled just hours before taking place due to COVID-19 protocol issues in Amedovski's camp.[19]

A featherweight bout between Makwan Amirkhani and Tristan Connelly was expected to take place at the event.[20] However, Connelly withdrew in early September for unknown reasons.[21]

A middleweight bout between Alessio Di Chirico and promotional newcomer Albert Duraev was briefly linked to the event. [22] However, Di Chirico was removed from the pairing on 22 September for undisclosed reasons and replaced by Roman Kopylov.[23]

Hopefully there are no more hits to this card cause somehow it's still pretty decent.

    I'm actually kinda glad,

I don't want Harris to get beat up.

And I can't root against my shoe drinking brethren.

I actually think this is a less winnable fight for Tuivasa. Sakai has looked pretty sharp even if he’s flabby and can be knocked out. The guys who beat him have real craft to their striking. At least for heavyweight.

Still can't believe Walt went through (and will always go through) losing his daughter like that man.

May Allah heal him and bring peace to his heart, ameen.

Was bad matchmaking to begin with Walt is on a 3 fight losing streak, he should be fighting the absolute canniest can on the HW roster.

I'll never doubt a fighter wanting to get back into fights for 'normalcy' and to do 'what she'd want' but what happened to that young lady and thus her mother, him and the rest of the family and friends cannot be quantified, and qualified only to an unfortunate very few. Overeem's actions at the end of that return fight say it all.

    As far as this fight:
No contest, fight ends with shoe full of beer being thrown in the cage from the audience...unfortunately right as Tai was piecing him out and looking to get the win...

Actually is a solid fight on paper. Cool.

I hope Tai's improved his ground game coz that's where I feel it will go. Pre-covid he was like a turtle on his back. Sakai might be good enough to risk standing with Tai but he's probably much better than him on the ground so I'm guessing he's going to go with the low risk strategy of not getting his head blasted into orbit & jits him instead.

    Sakai is so overrated

Dude has been murdered by Rozenstruik and Overeem, and asolutely robbed both Arlovski and Blagoy (blatant fence grab saved him from losing round vs Blagoy)

    Think Tai knocks him out

His 2 UFC wins vs Chase Sherman and Tybura (that's a decent win)

I'm glad Harris gets a break here, but wouldn't be surprised if Walt gets matched up with fucking Stipe when he's recovered.

Sakai makes guys look bad. He could easily smother Tai on the cage for 15mins, here.
