And yeah, i stopped drinking beer at early age, nowadays drinking booze and liqueur only. When other people from different countries mention us as a drunks.. I dont mind. In fact when I take a look around, I think that they are right.

While drinking, we share a rare feeling of sociality here. Too bad that drinking leads to fights and deaths too often.

Haha ye, when i was traveling around Denmark, Norway and Sweden few years back. When after 2.5 weeks i came to Stockholm and met few finnish people, walking around and talking in finnish, i was quite shocked at it. The cursing and being rude at times, lol it was just....... idk almost scared me

I've had my share of crazy girl.. Too much for me to handle mentally, because I am not that stable myself.

However, it isn't just about that... Or maybe its the media and all that nowadays.. Just gives me impression that everyone is cheating each other nowadays, nothing is enough, love doesn't last. Maybe i've seen just too many of those cases. But maybe those things happened a lot too in the time way before me, just weren't talked so openly as nowadays.

Norway has pretty good looking girls there too. I remember when I moved to Harstad to live with my father for 6 months, I told my friends "this is land to remember! You should see all these boobs here!". I like Norwegian people a lot too. They are so much different from us.

I was at the beer festival in Harstad and could you imagine this? I saw NO fights at all. No shouting at each other, everyone was just having fun etc. In Finland, probably at least 10 dicks would've tried to fight me, asking me "what are you looking at!?" or trying other excuses to start a fight.

My Grandmother's family came from Norway. I've always wanted to visit. Are there a lot of anti American sentiments around there? I've heard a lot of European folk dont care for us 'Mericans for some reason I cannot fathom.

Nah its fine i reckon. Aslong you dont act like an idiot its fine. Lately i been talking alot to this french guy who is studying there and he seems to be falling in love with a girl from Iran. He also mentioned that in his dorm everyone is from different European country, about 7 people in total. One of those countries was Lithuania, cant remember the rest, one might been Russia. So aslong you act "normal", you will be just fine in Scandinavia (Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway). Hell i know one portuguese dude that has been living in Finland for years and he cant even speak finnish or atlest i speak english with him:icon_lol:.

Not that I know of.

Some older Norwegians folks though think Finns as drunks that can do the dirty work But not all, just a few...

I think while I was there, I felt very welcomed there. And I think you would feel so too. And in northern parts of Norway... Fishing and hiking on mountains... Those can give you really unique experiences.

I recommend you to give Norway a shot. And I think they would love it if you mention to them that part of your family is from Norway

No kidding? That's pretty awesome. A friend of mine moved to Sweden last year to be with a woman he met online, he loves it there.
I'm hoping to stay at their place if I can make my trip happen (assuming the relationship lasts of course).
