Surreal Moment: My old classmate is a murderer

One of my old classmates just murdered someone.

Well in school I always found him kind of odd.

He was a chronic pot head, didn't do his school work, bullied smaller kids and overall he was the definition of a hooligan.

He never really seemed to bad and the bullying was mainly taunting, nothing overly physical.

He always wore camo jackets and pants, he liked to hunt pigs and go fishing from my brief conversations with him. We were not exactly good friends or anything.

Hawaiʻi Island police have charged 19-year-old Kawena Krause of Kurtistown in connection with the disappearance of 44-year-old Dante Peter Gilman of Hawaiian Acres, who was reported missing on January 10.

Krause was charged at 2:30 p.m. Saturday (January 19) with second-degree murder, first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, second-degree theft and use of a firearm in the commission of a separate felony.

I bet it's very surreal when you hear something out of the blue with an old classmate.

Someone from my high school graduating class died a few months ago falling off a cliff. I didn't really know him much, but it got me thinking, "damn, he's the first, who's next?" Not that I'm looking forward as to who's next, but it's interesting to know that your high school friends and acquaintences will all go their separate paths and as such will go out of this Earth at any random moment. You don't think about this when you're in school, but it's definitely surreal when things like this happen to those you knew and went to school with.

man i got you beat, about 11 people at my high school have been convicted of murder. here's the one that actually caught headlines. he shoot 3 police (killing 1).

happened in 2011 during our senior year. we were on the football and bball team in middle school. real cool dude. me and him were cool, both of us were the quiet kids that sat in the corner. i saw and talked to him the day before he killed the cops. he worked at wendy's, so i chatted with him a bit and then said peace. turned the news on the next day and seen that. my best friend since i was kids got convicted of attempted murder last january. got 9 years. shit sucked. i live in sc, so its like this everywhere basically.

Damn man that is depressing...
 
oh yeah, now Step walks around with a shit bag on his hip cause the cops shot him in the ass and stomach. my brothers best friend (we all went to the same hs) got murdered this summer by another one of our classmates. people kill, beat, and rob their own friends around here over stupid shit
 
Damn, crazy stuff TS.

I don't know any murderers, but my sixth grade math teacher was a child molester. I'd pull up the article on it but this was awhile back and I can't seem to find the link.
 
I had 3 friends go to prison for murder. 2 got out already 1 did 10yrs, the other did 12yrs and the other is still serving the rest of his 40yr terms. All 3 were close friends at one time and all 3 were hardcore gangbangers(yes i was one in the same with them).

The 2 that got out already shot other gangbangers and the one still doing time shot a group of gangbangers in public. So judge went wild and gave him 40yrs.

Yeah its not like that where I live in Hawaii, not much crime at all which is why I didn't

think this would happen with any one I knew from high school.

tell me about it. i met up with some of my old "friends" that i havent seen since i left for college. they told me they make money by robbing pizza delivery boys. pizza delivery boys! the fuck, i told them that they were pos and left. honestly, if you have beef with someone and they try you and then you get the upperhand and splash them first, then fine, im ok with that. but hurting random people, naw im not down with that
