SUPPORT FAQ, featuring White Belts and Thread Creating ***PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING***

Effective today (July 5, 2018), white belts will no longer be able to create threads. Once a new user reaches yellow belt status at 150 posts, they will be able to make threads.

This will not apply to members with a Platinum Membership. If a member with less than 150 posts purchases a Platinum Membership, they will be immune from this restriction and will be able to make threads even if they are a white belt.

Also, as a safe guard to cut down on spamming, white belts will now be limited to a maximum of 25 posts per day. All the restrictions listed above apply only to white belts, all other user groups will be exempt and free of any post per day limit.

Q. How many posts till I get such and such a belt?
A. 150 = Yellow (unlocks ability to start threads)
250 = Orange (unlocks the Off Topic forum)
500 = Blue (unlocks the War Room)
950 = Green
1500 = Purple
2500 = Brown
5000 = Black
7500 = Red
10000 = Silver
15000 = Gold
25000 = Steel
35000 = Titanium
50000 = Plutonium

Q. What do these name colors mean?
A. White - Standard Poster
Yellow - Restricted Poster
Dark Green - Platinum Member
Purple - Professional Fighter
Cyan - Junior Moderator
Blue - Moderator
Red - Administrator

Q. Can I change my username?
A. Yes, this option is available to all Platinum members who have been registered for at least six months and have at least 50 posts. You can change your username once every four months. It can be done here. A name change can be denied if the username contains profanity, special symbols and/or characters, or is being used in a way to harass or mock another poster.


Q. Can I have a custom belt?
A. Unfortunately the new forum software does not allow for custom belts. We miss them as much as you do, but there is nothing we can do to implement them. You can still change your title text, avatar and signature as you see fit.

Q. Why don't my posts count towards my post count?
A. Post count is disabled in the following forums:
The Lightweights
The Great Beyond
Pictures & Multimedia

Q. Can I start a new thread?
A. If you have made 150 posts, and are not restricted by double yellow cards, yes. If you have fewer than 150 posts but would like to make a thread sooner, upgrade to a Platinum account and you can make one on your first post!

Q. Why was my thread deleted, moved or merged?
A. Ask in this thread!

Q. Why is my account restricted?
A. Reach out to a moderator to find out, by going to Inbox, then "Start a New Conversation," followed by adding a moderator's name to the Participants and sending them a message.

Q. Can you delete my account?
A. Yes, although we will be sad to see you go, please contact an administrator to have this done. We follow GDPR privacy policies, so we will remove your account upon request. However, we will not be able to remove all of the posts you made, so instead we can attribute those posts to a placeholder name that does not identify you.

Q. I am a fighter/manager/coach/promoter/regulator, can you update this Fight Finder profile or event page?
A. We would be happy to. Sherdog Fight Finder is a free service, to update your information or if you have questions about your events or appearances, please view this thread. Also, you can read this guide on how to submit results properly so that we can process your information efficiently!
