Economy Supermarket destroys food, does not let people salvage them

So, no one here thinks FDA regs have anything to do with this?

Big gubment at work...

Edit: I was wrong. Maybe these guys are dicks..

"Can Food be Donated After the Date Passes?
Yes. The quality of perishable products may deteriorate after the date passes but the products should still be wholesome if not exhibiting signs of spoilage. Food banks, other charitable organizations, and consumers should evaluate the quality of the product prior to its distribution and consumption to determine whether there are noticeable changes in wholesomeness"

Really you guys should be blaming strict regulations that make companies put expiration dates long before food goes bad.

Immediately assume the company is bad and the dumpster divers are starving people in need.

Likely there is liability for not destroying food that can make people sick. I’m sure it’s an easy negligence case if someone took the salmonella ridden warm chicken and eggs and died because of other complications.

Good chance the vast majority of dumpster divers are opportunists not actually starving people. Cucks like the OP also consistently backed the looters in the BLM and Antifa riots for four years.

This is the norm. In the midwest we have a great gas station chain called Quik Trip that has great hot food (as far as gas stations go). They make if fresh in the morning and destroy it at night.

There's also been plenty of stories of hunters in rural areas being forced by authorities to destroy meat donated to food pantries and soup kitchens.

This country has enough food to feed every hungry American. We just don't want to.

I don't think you can comprehend my point, due to your blatant retardation.

no its easy to see whats going on

youre an unapologetic freeloader who thinks hes entitled to other ppl stuff, and when others bring it up you get mad and start name calling

so not only are you an unapologetic freeloader, youre also emotionally unstable individual as well...

ouch

Why not Tort reform?

I'm not against Tort Reform but I think if you go that route we need more consumer regulations.

The US relies heavily on liability fears to make companies self regulate, which is why we have class actions lawsuits.

Basically liability lawsuits are the Libertarian answer to consumer protections. If we start eroding away at that system we need to adopt more consumer protections by statute like Western European countries.

I'm a freeloader for believing people should be able to eat instead of wasting 8 billion pounds of food a year.

Cool, retard.

I’d rather they throw out the food then let undesirables get it

Sad that time and again we can never underestimate the entitlement and stupidity of many in the past two generations.

The only proper response is to riot. Pelt them with steak sauce filled water balloons and go Soylent G on them.
