Saw it after the massive hype it got when it came out, thought the cops and McLovin were funny but the rest was very meh, especially the main kid (not Jonah Hill) was annoying as fuck.

Recently gave it another go, pretty cringeworthy.

Goes to show how mediocre most comedies are that a good one comes along and is lauded to the heavens.

Also if you watched an edited for TV version, it's not as good that way.

Superbad was hilarious and Michael Cera was fantastic in it. Once you kind of realize all their "shticks" it's not as funny but when it first came out it was hilarious.
