Subscriptions technique site for judo

I had a subscription to http://www.judo-academy.com/dashboard. It is Jimmy Pedro's site. I really like Jimmy's stuff but I cancelled as I thought it left much to be desired. The videos seemed to all cut off before they were done explaining the technique, and most videos were less than three minutes long. I also didn't find the categorizing of the site very good either. :(

Anyone seen this? https://superstarjudo.com - a subscription site for judo skills. Looks pretty good.

I like it. They're adding stuff on the regular, which is the bane of most pay-for-technique sites. If you don't have some of their older instructionals (Jeon, Koga, etc.) it's especially valuable.

How in depth do they go into techniques in each vid? Is it a short 2-3 min youtube style clip or do they spend a little bit of time on it, say 10-20 mins?

It's a shorter clip. But frankly, I don't know that you need 20 minutes on a single variation of a throw. They will have multiple variations from a single person, but as separate vids. It's basically just like their DVDs but streaming.

Well, the saying goes something like quality over quantity. Example, Kolat.com is an istructional site for wrestling and they have 2-3min vids and the content is unanimously considered excellent, so I wouldn't worry too much about the duration of videos per se.

As for judo I used to have a subscription at http://www.universityofjudo.com/
I enjoyed it, they also go over bjj applications, I left to use the money on more groundwork specialized sites. They do the lame thing where they say subscriptions are closed and you have to sign up with your email to get a message when they are open again, but they'll contact you in a couple of days.

Kolat's vids are excellent. I was just thinking length as in some of the 2 minute youtube vid where a guy is like "ok you do this and then you do that and that's all" but condensing something very complicated into "do this/that" and leave it like that. Hard to explain but you might get where I'm going.

Yeah, I totally get it now and of course I agree with you.

I agree with Uchi Mata. There's a lot of decent content on the site right now, and they upload on the regular. If you were ever considering purchasing any of Fighting Films videos, you might as well just get this subscription.

The videos are short, but they're detailed enough. Tori demonstrates the technique, goes through everything that should be going on during the throw, demonstrates it a little more, then shows a few examples of it in competition.
