4 million is a huge number but and I think he'd be getting a few k for promoting a post.

You get like $60 or something for a few thousand followers.

Not sure where you are getting these numbers. You have to actually pay to have all 4 million followers see your post. IG shows your post to about 10% of your followers. Companies will pay him to promote something because around 400k+ people will see it right away. Unless it gets good engagement in that case it will show more. I have friends with over 25k that don’t get paid to post.

It's paid off of promotions. The more followers you have, the higher pay you can demand for a post.

Like someone said of Ronaldo, he can get paid hundreds of thousands for a post with his 200+M followers. He makes comparatively close on promoting stuff as he does with his soccer contracts.

I run a business on the side, and I've had local "influencers" with 130-150k followers offering to post about my establishment for a little over 2 grand. Told them all to piss off as I highly doubt I'll get that money back.

UFC pay is pretty terrible in my opinion. Gotta be creative and make the most of your 15 minutes.

Media Value is actually very important metric when it comes to growth of an entertainer's careers. A bunch out touch Sherbros may think it doesn't matter but those guys are stuck in the past or they just don't understand the tremendous value social media has in today's markets. Celebrating social media milestones in merely giving kudos on someone for successfully developing their brand.
