If you are about to make something to eat.... Here comes the stupidest question of your lifetime.

Would you take all the ingredients out of the fridge and then proceed to wash your hands before
cooking or making your foods

or

Would you wash your hands before you open the fridge and proceed to cook...

A little bit of a germaphobe lol but youd be touching the refrigerator and all the food packaging

Same if you ordered something and brought it home.. Wash your hands and then take everything out of the bag? Or Take everything out of the bag and then wash your hands?

I know , I know.. deep question lol

wash my hands after taking everything out of the fridge.

knowing me, if i washed before going into the fridge, i will just re-wash again before i start cooking.

Just cook the stuff, don't be a pussy.

Wash my hands before I touch the food out of the package. Wash the food too if applicable.

depends what ingredients, for fresh produce, wash your hands after you wash them. So wash your hands after everything it out in the open, that includes the pots/pans and cutting knifes

lol I'm a bit of a germaphobe, so I'm always thinking of stuff like this.

I wash before cooking and taking everything out but then realize that I just grabbed who knows what so I wash again.
I also wash before taking a leak and after. I wash before because I don't want no germs on my wee wee.
I also wash randomly during the day even if I'm just watching tv and not eating; I get up and wash my hands and go back to watching tv.
I also carry antibacterial gel on my car and always use after driving and sometimes use during traffic or a long light.

lol @ washing fresh produce

You’ll never survive the apocalypse....the flu maybe...you’ll also never be able to take advantage of any time travel....dude, live on the edge and don’t wash your hands for a day...except after you take a dump

I don't think about it that much. I generally wash my hands before touching the food, so by chance, after the fridge, but not intentionally. I generally wash my hands for people I am cooking for, not myself.

My girlfriend is a bit of a germaphobe too, so this kind of question is unfortunately not that out of the ordinary for me.

When handling fish or chicken, I wash my hands before and right after. I don't want to touch anything in my kitchen with 'fish/chicken fingers'.

I wash them before taking stuff out of the fridge I guess. Hadn't thought about it too much, should probably do it after.

lol @ washing fresh produce

i'm not eating an apple or lettuce from a grocery store that has potentially been touched by 40 people without washing it. Don't care if i saw the stockboy just put them up, once I'm about to eat it, i'm washing it.

haha thanks

My thought is that if you wash before youve taken everything out of the refrigerator
you are handling food after youve touched the refrigerator handles and all the food packaging.

But if you do it after.. You have just touched the food packaging.

I wash my hands once a week when I take my regular shower.
