I wonder how many people know that it was Joe Biden's legislative actions that made this possible in the first place?

Why not just allow those that cannot afford to pay it back eligible to declare bankruptcy on the debt? Ohhhhh.... because Joe Biden pushed a law that does not allow it.

Then people would just declare bankruptcy right out of college to get rid of them.

Only way to solve this is to stop letting 17/18 years old borrow so much money (people borrowing too much money in general has been a killer).

Lets not go after the root cause of the mess. Instead lets attempt to take money from the taxpayers and put it in the pockets of universities and banks.

Once the government has done that, we can start the process all over again.

It's really annoying that half the country can't even think more than one step ahead.

Only way to solve this is to stop letting 17/18 years old borrow so much money (people borrowing too much money in general has been a killer).

Correct... And allowing bankrupcy would stop banks from handing out massive loans to 17 & 18 year olds.

And 10 years with a bankrurpcy on your record is a long time.

The other effect would smaller loan amounts which might bring tuition fees back to Earth.
