Stretching Too Much

Is it possible to stretch too much? Ive been stretching everyday for a little while but then I stretched for a hour and then the next day I felt a lot less flexible and was stiff
 
yep, i feel the same. myself, i need to stretch every other day to make any progress. the very next day i'm very stiff.

Stretch after your muscles are warmed up.
 
It's probably too much, you don't need to stretch that long. Just be sure to do it consistenly, little by little everyday.
 
yeah you might be pushing yourself too far in the stretch, i did that the other day and my knee hurt for a couple of days afterwards
 
I don't see a problem with stretching too much. How long have you been stretching for? If you've stretched consistently for several months and you stretch for an hour one day, you aren't going ot feel like you lose flexibility. My guess is you just started stretching recently.
