was diagnosed yesterday. Holy fuck one of the worst pains I’ve been thru
 
Whose appendages have been in your mouth recently? Do your parents know? If not, this would be a helluva way to tell them.
 
I had strep throat 5 times in the last 15 months. I get my tonsils pulled next Wednesday.

Fifth time's the charm? What are you putting your body through to have it so often? And why did you wait until the fifth time you got it?

I was told the new standard/criteria to remove tonsils was throat problems (strep, sore throat, etc.) 6 times in one year, 10 times in two years, or 12 times in 3 years. Years ago, I was told strep throat 3 times in one year. I never seemed to get it that often. I'm not sure I truly even qualify this time as I don't really get sore throats unless I get strep, but the ear/nose/throat doctor recommended it.

My tonsils have became a weak point. Anytime I get sick, it's going to be strep throat. A good way to put it is that any infection entering my body that tonsils would fight off, turns into strep. After having tonsils removed, those same infections would be fought off by my immune system. Basically, my tonsils are actually hurting me a lot more than they are helping at this point.

Strep throat sucks ass. I"ve probably had it like 10-12 times in my life.

Had strep once. I had a taste in my mouth of the fluid build up for like a month after. All the brushing and mouthwash in the world wouldnt get rid of it.
 
Group A Strep has some nasty complications outside of pharyngitis as well. If you end up pissing blood in a few weeks, or your heart is skipping a beat, hit up ur doc immediately.

Strep is fucking awful.

Only had it once in my life a few weeks after I had my wisdom teeth removed. Worst succession of pain ever lol.
 
I used to make fun of guys for complaining about Strep... thought it was just a normal sore throat.

Got it once in December of 2011. It was terrible. So much worse than I thought.
 
Need to be quick to gargle mouthwash deep down with the slight hint of sore throat. Probably averted a bunch of sore throats that way. Gonna gargle now.
 
Reporting back. Pretty much healed after 2 days. God bless antibiotics

I used to get super bad soar throats when I was a kid. I used to just think I was a pussy back then because sore throats don't even come close to hurting as bad. Now I wonder if I had strep.
 
Quit smoking, that's what helped me.
