Economy stonks v24, snakes in the ukraine

Did anyone short Rivian?, down to 35 after hours from over 170 in November. Pretty bad earnings. Wish I did, market was so irrational for allowing it to get that high.

I've never touched it but my buddy dropped 15k on it near the top....160 or so and still holding. I'd throw up

That's terrible. How do you invest in a company at over 100 billion valuation pre revenue.

That's pretty much dead money. If they don't go bankrupt maybe in 5 years he breaks even.

Anyone in Xpeng,? valuation is now at about 22 billion. I might start looking into it more.

He was brand new to investing and full of hubris. My guess is ten years minimum if ever. He also bought the top of coin, hood, Disney and facebook with same amount of $.

RIVN will likely not make it IMO. Auto industry is a tough one to crack. Lucid I think may survive with Saudi backing however the price is also outrageous. Both stocks will see the teens soon most likely. Lucid might be worth a gamble but only at sub $12. Great stock to trade, but its a poor investment at this point. Dead money

I think NIO under $14 is a strong buy.. they actually sell a fair chunk of cars and have been growing revenue at a fast pace. I like PLTR at $7-$8. Just waiting patiently to splash the cash for the real dip on a couple of stocks to hold for a decade.

A slow bleed to the bottom with the odd dead cat. Monday gonna be wild.

I bought KLXE for a gamble yesterday it opened -23% it’s now green 1% up just wtf

This market doesn't make any sense. At this point just going to keep adding to positions. The valuations no longer make any sense, way over sold past pre pandemic levels.

I was just looking at Baba out of curiosity. It's down from its open on the market in 2016. If you bought day 1 you are down. The above comment is not about Baba as well, I don't mess with anything in China. Just saying.

the talking heads went from bitching about high valuations
to bitching about q4 earnings being bad and guidance totally sucking (q4 earnings were outstanding and guidance was good)
to bitching about the fed making 118 hikes (fed noped)
to bitching about the fed raising rates by 1% in march
to bitching about inflation
to bitching about the fed raising rates by .5% in march
to bitching about the fed raising rates by .25% in march
to bitching about imminent russian invasion
to bitching about russian status quo... daily

meanwhile, i can spot more low valuations than i can even buy into. high growth stocks with tons of cash on hand and constant (and increasing) profits have value stock fpe and PEGs under 1.

i don't understand why 2 euro countries that the usa is not even allied with should have such an impact on the usa's stocks. ~45 days after "imminent" invasion and 16 days after the war began, somehow russia fighting ukraine is not priced in. despite the market tanking repeatedly from it.

Yeah I guess the saying goes 'the market can be irrational longer than you can stay solvent'

Wait for the bottom to fall out. The headlines is driving this market lower whilst the big boys are licking their lips. Seems no signs of the sell off slowing. Just continuous bull traps and dead cats lulz.

flipside: war ends

I think its always been about the fed...Russia was just a good excuse to sell off. Fed Meeting is this coming week...my guess is we sell off hard going into it and rally day of or after.

The China stock crash is particularly impressive

2014, but you're right - It's now below where it closed on day 1, despite skyrocketing revenues and profits, a rock solid balance sheet, etc.

Efficient market hypothesis is a lie. Welcome to the joy of behavioral economics.
This is why I rarely play in stocks anymore and stick mostly to commodities trading.

$MULN going ham.
My buddy told me to buy last week and I did not. Would have doubled my money. I could not figure out if they were a scam or not. Still can’t.
