AMC is flush with cash and people are going back to the movies.
The thing that worries me, is the movies the studios were streaming were making money on the streaming. So is there enough entertainment dollars to support both? That is the key question. I think AMC will be better since its opening back up but will it ever reach its peak again.

not really. they diluted a fuckton... but for perspective:

months BEFORE covid, they were $6-7/share. with a .10 dividend. and they were till getting blasted because streaming was the future. now they're diluted to hell and their revenue is worse than ever... and their market cap is gigantic. they paid off debt but i wouldn't say they're flush with cash.

Flush might have been an over statement but they did raise some capital.
Personally I think streaming will put a big dent in their revenue. Everyone has a 50” plus TV and some sort of sound system even if it’s a sound bar. Plus food is cheaper at your crib.
Disney drops a ton of cash on their shows which is why you only get one like every other month. So the quality of the show is there. You only have so much money for entertainment, and AMC won’t be getting what they used too.

agreed. plus, i'm bitter from getting burnt by them before covid.

but yeah, i think it's ironic that in 2019... amc was hated and streaming was going to murder them. now streaming's bigger than ever and amc's revenues are less than ever... and their market cap is inflated and growing...

I made some money on them that first WSB pump and got out when I read RH would only let you sell, but like an idiot bought back in. I am still up but as soon as my current get above my re buy, then I am out. Even if my 100 share re buy go down to zero I am still up on both buys. So I can carry the bags until they are light enough to unload. Hoping this new pump gets me to the promised land.

to be fair, they were literally down for 10 straight days (11 if you count this morning) and did beat their earnings.

but yeah, the bitcoin news is dildos.



maybe i should add bitcoin to my balance sheets, find a spac, and go public.

oh, and i'm getting my moderna shot on saturday.

so calls/puts on mrna, depending what you think about this. i also find it funny since most people who talked with me about vaccines seem to think i'm an anti-vaxxer... (mostly because i do think they have a good point re: the measles shit)
