Economy stonks v19, ffs. nasdaq is murdered

AMZN is literally unstoppable. Earnings blowout. Yikes
It was truly some mind-blowing growth, especially for a company their size. Alphabet and Amazon gonna race to see who hits the $2 trillion club first, it seems.

@44nutman Brutal day today with MVIS. Any idea why they just got clipped 20% In AH? I was just looking at their chart and it looks like they still have a gap at $13 that needs to be filled before this can start to retrace. I’d love to get into this at $10 but I don’t think it drops that far. Either way, this should bounce back to $18 short term.

they released their earnings report.

i guess the above is a vague statement, given amd/aapl/msft... so to be clear, their earnings/rev were terrible/

I think it gets crushed in the Am but could be wrong. I sold some shares at 21 and bought those shares back under 11.
They have a tendency to open down before anyone can buy. Depends if it is down pre market does that start a sell run or do retail see it as a buy opportunity. I will see what shakes in the Am.
The problem is their earnings have always sucked. Good thing is they are sitting on enough cash to hold them for a couple years.
They put out their Lidar they just need to make money on it.
Personally I think the shorts win tomorrow.

lol jesus christ CNBC has fake wash sale scammer Beeple coming back on to shill for another random useless NFT auction he is doing.
Which is the same as his other ones just with new renders of an overly buff Elon Musk walking a doge, and a giant penis getting milked.

lmao Beeple just said "you would know the tax implications better than US" then quickly backtracked and was like "Uhhh I mean me"... As if he wasn't colluding with the gateways and buyers to pump ETH.

I had to check to see if my screen was frozen because nothing is moving at all.

I thought 11 to 12 was going to be the bottom, but looks like I was wrong. I was going to buy more in that range, but I doubt it gets below 14 now.

I remember when I bought $UEC in January and was told I missed the boat and it was too late. Whelp up 65%
The moral of this story is nobody on here including myself know shit.

You guys have been talking about good earnings resulting in your holdings going down, but I don't think I've seen one quite this bad:
  • Patrick (NASDAQ:PATK): Q1 GAAP EPS of $2.04 beats by $0.72.
  • Revenue of $850.48M (+44.3% Y/Y) beats by $116.59M.
And shares down -5.3% today!

Oh well, still up 42% YTD so I'll live.
is this because people are less likely to do home renovations going forward? they've reaped the rewards of the lockdown, but going forward their outlook is not as rosy?

DTEA popping after hours due to good earnings. Out of the red and into the green. Hopefully it keeps moving up so I can take a decent profit.

Partly - I think their recreational vehicle segment will probably be harder hit. Apparently that really gained in popularity during Covid. It's a way for people to travel/vacation while staying away from crowds of people. Also makes a nice meth lab, incidentally.

Shares have also skyrocketed recently, but the company is still only sitting with a p/e of 12, for example. I'm still very optimistic about them moving forward.

Stonks thread on page 3...? This is unacceptable.

Anyone here holding OCGN? I bought 10 $10 5/21 C’s a few weeks ago that I planned to swing and take the money but I’m catching mixed signals here. I can cash out for around 70% win right now but I feel like this has a lot more in the tank.

lol I dayshorted it at 15 to avoid any borrow fees again when I saw it tardo spiked.

This is entirely momo nonsense re: India and they just did an offering at 50% below this like 4 days ago; so that should tell you everything about who is valuing it at what.

I agree with you on the valuation but look at the GME bullshit. This is a straight momentum play. They’ve already blasted through like 3 separate walls that were selling at least 115k+ and popped right back. My goal is to make $665 a week from 1 maybe 2 trades and this would be at least 12 weeks of trades worth for me. Still, I feel like these kids will push it to $17-$18 range.

I took 15 to 14.5 so I'll gladly let it run to there and try again if it does and start accumulating at 16.

I closed them but will definitely rebuy when this dips. For some reason this stock dips hard and then rips right back.

With this market you take your gain and run.

It still amazes me how low the big Airlines are still relative to pre pandemic. All other travel and hospitality is much higher, even MSGE etc...

Should have stayed in oil and steel. Fuck tech!
