It's not gonna be a traditional IPO. They're going public this month through a direct listing. No date announced yet.

Coin base is not going the IPO route but a regular listing. First day it will go to the moons of Endor. Will hope I can get in early.

Yeah that was me, I’ve been monitoring for a while. They are going direct to avoid what happened to Airbnb and DoorDash. I can see a big shift to direct in this market.

Oh yeah. I'm not super well versed on direct offerings at all, the more knowledgeable guys can chime in for sure but it sounds like they just think they'll get more bang for the buck in having a direct offering and not creating any shares to sell. Their valuation has skyrocketed since when they were gonna do a traditional IPO last year, so the private shareholders think they'll get in the $45/share range to start (I think the IPO target was maybe low 20's iirc but not positive on that).
