Stone Cold Steve Austin returns for 1 more match at Wrestlemania.

When I heard this was being hyped up online a few weeks ago I thought 'Why now? Its been 19 freakin years.'

Austin's probably been preparing for this months in advance of this being announced. He was a perfectionist of his own performance back when he wrestled, so its highly doubtful he's going to settle for anything less than his best when he was in his prime.

Chances are this is going to be a 'squash-match' like the Undertaker/JohnCena match four or five years ago at Wrestlemania.

Your thoughts? Anyone that hasn't watched wrestling in forever interested in seeing this?

Yeah, we have a pro-wrestling forum but Steve Austin transcended into pop-culture in the 90s and early 2000s. Its more relevant here.

A return match would've been must see but this won't be. Austin's too old to go now and he knows it. He doesn't want to embarrass himself like Undertaker did or Goldberg

Only question is its going to be a back-and-forth match that lasts a while, or a squash match in which Austin is on offense the entire time and its over in a few minutes.

My expectation is there will be a match.
I don't expect it to be an all-out chaos match like most of Austin's matches were back in the day.

I would be disappointed if they do a 'segment' filmed like a movie, like Undetaker's last match, and its shown on the big screens at Wrestlemania disappointing the fans that were actually hoping to see a wrestling match.

Yeah, WWE commentators have sucked for years. No one could ever come close to Jim Ross & Jerry Lawler's chemistry.

They were so damn good YouTube videos have been made of them commentating other videos.

Brought back Ronda, Lesnar, and now Steve Austin.

Roman Reigns is in the main event for 6 of the 7 last Wrestlemanias.

And they've let go ALOT of quality talent over the last few years, rather than developing them to be main eventers.

There really hasn't been much excitement for the WWE in a long while because of their shitty storylines, release of quality talent, and relying on crossover stars (Lesnar & Rousey) and nostalgia.

Viewership is in the toilet but they are making record profits each year. Wrestlemania is still huge, but they make more money from the Saudi deals they have now.

More than likley, its just a segment where he comes, beats up Owens, Stuns him and does a beer bath.

WWE has failed to build stars in the past decde plus, and a big part is that alot believe they dont want anyone to become bigger than the brand and leave like Rock and Cena have done

I don't think he would come back unless he thought he could have a good match. I know he's old as hell with a shot neck and knees but I think he's chosen to work with KO because he thinks he can do something worthwhile there.

I'm expecting a back and forth slobber-knocker brawl style match but it'll only be KO taking any real bumps.
