Seems like for years a ton of Diaz bros "fans" are really just anti-fans of another fighter (GSP, Anderson, Conor) that jump on the bandwagon as a less overt outlet to hate on another fighter, at least moreso than with other fighters.

It seems that the overwhelming support really has been at times when they are fighting more prominent mainstream fighters that some fans might want to see take a loss.

How many Diaz bros fans on this forum are really fans of Nate and Nick on their own? How many come out of the woodwork for a Nate Diaz vs. random #14 ranked LW on the bottom half of the card, or a Nick Diaz vs. whoever in strikeforce?

Looking for a best guess in terms of %.

My post history going back years speaks for itself and I was a fan even before then (this is my second account here). Then again the real fans don't have anything they need to prove anyway.

Cerrone & Rogan talk about how big of a fanbase they have

get rekt TS

Nah, Diaz bros fans have existed for a long time.

Well I saw Nick's first UFC fight live at UFC 44: Undesputed against Jeremy "Jump the Wall" Jackson. An I've been a fan since.
BTW that was my first live UFC event.

Good luck getting an honest or serious answer.

I've been a fan of the Diaz Bros. since UFC 1 in '93.

I jumped on the Nick Diaz wagon after he subbed Gomi, and especially more so after he tested positive for weed.

Younger days...

Anyways, point is that the Diaz bros have been around for a very long time. While we were behind Nate as he was building up to a UFC record 14 Post-fight bonuses, we were also keeping an eye on Nick in Elite XC, Strikeforce...

Glad you finally got with the program though.

I was a huge fan for the longest time. Between Nicks suspensions and inconsistent performances from both brothers I have strayed away from them. Good for Nate finally breaking through into some money and fame

The Diaz brothers have both been in some epic fights and whenever they fight there's always a good chance it will be memorable. Of course they have a lot of real fans

Im actually opposite, ill dislike someone for beating Nick or Nate.

I went to see Nick fight Paul Daley live in sf. It was fucking awesome

Don't be scared homie! I have a shirt that says that

Also I was/sorta still am a huge stoner so I love them for that

That's cray cray talk. Diaz fans are some of the most rabid of them all.

Diaz for life...What???

I became a `Nick fan after watching the Lawler fight at UFC 47. In the years following, I became less and less of a fan after watching the immaturity time and time again. Frank Shamrock said it perfectly before he fought Nick. Frank was asked "How do you feel about Nick's behavior at the weigh ins?" (this is not verbatim but was essentially the question). Frank responded with "It doesn't effect me at all. It's just the only way Nick knows how to deal with the press and the pressure". That was about the most spot on opinion of Diaz that I have heard to date.

I have loved them for their "don't give a fuck" attitude. But it has backfired at the same time. The same attitude that makes Nate come in a wreck McG on 10 days notice is the same attitude that has them fighting from guard for over half of a fight. It's a double edge sword with them, so I will never get excited about them being on a card, but you can bet your ass I'll be cheering for them and hoping they win.
BTW, I would bet 98% of Diaz fans with a joined date after UFC 196 will jump the train next time Nate pulls some less fun "Diaz" shit, like no showing and having to be pulled from a fight. Im not saying Nate is just like Nick, but Nate is just like Nick......

"I've been a huge far forever. Such real fighters. I member nicks first fight in the ufc blah blah blah..."

BAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

diaz fans are mostly sheep that jumped on board after the conor win.
