According to Bloomberg, USO owned 25% of the outstanding volume of May WTI oil futures contracts as of last week. With that contract set to expire Tuesday, there is an obvious long squeeze going on here. ETFs like USO are not created to take physical delivery of the oil contracts they hold, so in a long squeeze, the fund’s managers—Brown Brothers Harriman is USO’s administrator and its general partner is U.S. Commodity Funds, LLC (USCF)—have to dump oil.

Pretty nuts.

What's everyones thoughts on pharma companies working on vaccines?

I threw some coin on these:
GILD
LLY
INCY

If they could make vaccines out of barrels of crude oil, it could solve a lot of problems right now

Yea. Tankers are in high demand

Have you bought physical gold yet, or are you going to hold for 5-10 years when the market starts to recover?

I would swing it, takes years to make a vaccine, see which ones look promising based on news cycles and sell and buy as you wish.

also, i don't think uso had any of tomorrow's contracts (still). they should have sold them weeks ago.

i feel like tomorrow's contract is so funny and that warehouse prices are likely cheap (given shutdown and closures) that i wish i knew how to handle deliveries/etc. seems like one could pick up warehouse space for a fraction of the $37k and make some stupidly easy money.

I actually sold all my physical Gold and Silver about 4/5 months ago. I wish I did not now of course.

I'm about 50% cash right now. But I'm about to make that more like 70-80%

...why?

Can anyone recommend where I can buy XOM and WTI stocks?

MRNA's execs have been selling shares and their stock has run up 5 bil in market cap+90% in the last month.
Right now is an awful time to buy in unless you're swing trading.

If you are anticipating a crash the level of this next one may devalue the dollar so might as well buy gold again.
