lol accidentally held some AMD into the close and dumped the fuck out of it at $56.22 right before the earnings hit. Couldn't get a short in. Cramer will pump it and CNBC is interviewing them as well. Prolly sits flat around 53

amd flat? shirley, you jest. it will probably swing between 59 and 45 or so... if there's nothing in the conference call to provide support.

i'd be happy with flattish 53, it would actually be a little easier to manage contracts. with amd, i have to adjust them pretty much every day, instead of a usual fire and forget...

...huh?

you realize you posted this immediately after i just mentioned amd meeting their guidance and maintaining it through 2020 (i think raising it slightly, actually).

and lolz @ spy puts not being liquid enough. spy has like the most volume of all options. what are you talking about?

Plenty of hedge fund guys have echoed this same sentiment about a market that doesn't make sense, I'm not the only one here.

About liquidity, I'm just saying that initially I thought I would buy a bunch of out of the money puts, and sell if the underlying price dipped sharply and the options spiked. But the OI / daily volume looks too low to 'trade' them (as opposed to buy and hold). This was about the only trade I had the stomach for in this environment.

<LikeReally5>

...you think spy has low volume.

What's everyones thoughts on pharma companies working on vaccines?

I threw some coin on these:
GILD
LLY
INCY
GILD is going big today. If anyone listened to me, you rich bitch

My Burger King stock TAST is going nuts today. Bought it at 1.79 on 04/02/2020.
Sort of conflicted on them, they took government money for small business(they own a bunch of franchises) and have like 31k +/- employees.
When I am on the road today, I am going to celebrate and grab something from there or Popeyes. Does Burger King have anything healthy on their menu?

HTZ in possible bankruptcy. Went from up 10% to down 25%.

edit: It's been over an hr since this broke and zero on CNBC about it, just the same repetitive deepthroating.

i had to turn cnbc off earlier. couldn't take it, anymore. i normally watch bloomberg in the morning, had/left cnbc on because i knew lisa su was on. i guess i'm immune to their nonsense at ~4pm, but i still can't tolerate it in the morning.

i just looked them up and i don't understand it at all. it's... a burger king franchise with some select locations? i remember hearing/reading about them before. probably also from you.

and bk has that beyond meat shit. or impossible. or neither, i don't know. (i don't mind impossible burgers, actually)

and what the fuck is going on with amc?

AMC is getting the shit squeezed out of it against people who heard it as going BK and bet on it zeroing.
And to think I bought shares at 2.6 and was happy to sell at 3....

$5+ seems insane. they're closed. with no real plans to open. and they just threatened to never show another universal studios film.

they couldn't even hold $6 back in jan/feb, when they were open (and doing better yoy) and before the pandemic was inevitable.

i mean, it's bailed me out of the puts i sold... but this is just nuts.

They spent a bunch of money at the end of last year, fixing up all their restaurants. So they took a big hit. Also they have drive thru's so still open during shut downs.

shit man. You think I should unload? down 4% at the moment, I bought close to $51. ughh

dude, what? WHY? i thought $30 was too pricey...

i mean, i don't know what your plan was and i rarely touch biotech, so i don't have much advice. i'd sell it, but that's me. for all i know, it will be $60 next week.

Ok just went big on Pfizer. They got $650M...

I have no idea what that stock is doing, but based on your frantic reactions I would suggest not playing stocks like this in the future where you buy stuff after it's run up already on good news. Be more at peace with leaving alone things that made people money unless you have a strong valuation case for continuing higher.
