The dudes logic is that because Mir beat an old Nog times hes the better fighter, well Mir got cranked out by Jay Ayala, ergo Ayala is the better fighter. Jay Ayala > both of em and its quite clear.

You're pretty much a braindead retard if you watched MMA and specifically these guys careers and think Mir is better than Nogueira. Nogueira is easily the #2 HW all time in skillset and resume.

I think both would beat even the best Fedor/Nog/CC in the cage (perhaps Fedor would be 50/50)

But in the ring/pride rules, obviously the pride top 3 in their primes (late 20's) would beat these current UFC HW cage fighters (either in their 40's or pushing it) handily inside the ring, with soccer kicks, stomps, no cage to assist with takedowns, 10 min rounds, knees to the head to punish bad takedowns, ring corners to trap and expose movement, etc.

The worst off would be Nog, but his durability, striking and cardio would be too much I'd say
 
As a Fedor fan myself, not only would Stipe do better in Pride than in the UFC.....he would be a top 3 heavyweight in that era.
 
There would be some great match ups for him with Fedor, Cro Cop, Nog, Aleks and Kharitinov would be awesome fights. Stipe vs Barnett would be great as well. Aside from those guys, I don't really see anyone giving him much trouble.
