DC actually wore one as he approached the podium for the press conference. He took it off when he sat down and kept it off for the remainder of the proceedings.

Stipe entered without a mask and stayed without one.

Pride went under 13 years ago. The fact that multiple pride HWs are even in the top 10 shows how awful the division is.

I never said DC was the HW Goat. I said he could and would beat every one of the top Pride HW's.

If we are talking GOAT's it's Fedor of course but he fought in a different generation. We will never see prime Fedor vs. prime DC or Stipe but given their skillsets and how limited the vast majority of the fighters Fedor faced, it's not hard to extrapolate how the fights would go. The DC that won the Strikeforce tournament would take Fedor down at will and put him out. Stipe could beat him standing or on the ground.

Stipe could probably have gone through 20 or so of the scrubs that Fedor beat with minimal risk. He would have eaten big nog alive standing and would probably have dumped crocrop on his ass 10 seconds in a fight.

It's not a dig at Fedor, training has changed, fighters have improved etc.
 
Stipe looks like the star of some stupid action movie where they cast an obviously massive looking actor and try to make them look like a meek, mild and nerdy accountant. then their kid gets abducted or their wife gets raped and it turns out they were in the special forces and they go around ripping bad guys limb from limb

Too bad he seems to have no interest in acting or anything related to it. He'd probably have a better career in action movies than Randy Couture has had thus far.

Why the fuck do people care if two athletes who are tested frequently for Covid, and who are about to wrestlefuck each other for 5-25 minutes, wear masks in a staredown?

Are people genuinely retarded? And I know the answer is yes. But fuck, I mean they aren't wearing masks in the cage in 2 days guys jesus fucking christ.

It is only for the sake of perception. The pics on the websites and the videos on the internet and the shared social media, all of it will just show two dudes breathing each other's air. My personal preference is that they wear the mask for the public's view. That's it. No other deep reason, not for protection, nothing else. Just the image that will be circulated. Like most of the athletes inside the NBA's bubble. They are huffing and puffing with no masks......BUT, the guys on the bench are distanced and wearing masks because that league understands that America is watching. When they go for their interviews afterwards, same thing. They will put their mask on to have a VIDEO conversation. They simply give a shit, and that's all I can ask for. People to give a shit.

I could see Fedor catching either of these guys. DC and Stipe both throw with maybe half the speed Fedor did. Fedor also had pretty good power. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Fedor caught either of them.

Uh not likely. Look at the big generational action heroes. Sylvester Stallone, virtually unintelligible, Jean Claude Van Damme, english not his first language, Arnold Swartzennegger, english not his first language, Dolph Lundren, American english not his first language (he's swedish and went to school in australia). Jason Statham, strong british accent, etc.

Lots of action movie guys without great english. That's what cool one liners are for.

The funny party is that Dolph Lundgren is much more articulate than all of those other guys you listed who are native English speakers when he's not hamming up an accent for a role.
