Media Stipe Miocic Humbles Francis Ngannou

After 3 fights - especially with this 3rd one with DC threatening to wrestle - Stipe will have gone through 3 back to back wrestling prep heavy camps.

What was Francis' downfall the last time?

You guessed it:

Frank Stallone.

I'm kinda tired of trilogies and rematches to be honest, those guys fight so infrequently that I would rather have some new shit.
Kinda hard when there are hardly any good and/or deserving fighters at heavyweight.. blaydes is the only one and he lost to ngannou twice (he has to win tomorrow either way)! Only option outside of that would be fast track Gane, Pavlovich or Hardy (i know he lost to the reem)

Both of those (re)rematches make sense, though it still kinda sucks, lol. We do not have many more years of watching Stipe compete left.

I think the very fact alone Stipe couldn’t finish Francis 1.0 should strike fear into the heart. Ngannou wins that rematch ALL day

Francis puts him out cold

That’s terrible logic. Ngannou lost every second of that fight so he automatically wins the rematch?

By your logic Dan Hardy would DESTROY GSP in a rematch...

I wish trilogies were more like the Chuck Randy trilogy. The first two bouts weren't back to back, so we saw both men cement themselves as the best at 205. It felt organic.

I don't get you guys, you watched the fight, you watch MMA - why does the fact that Francis landed on Stipe every round and kept him rocked never counts for anything? This never gets brought up. That fight was slow as shit cause Stipe was barely in it.

He still won.

Who fights infrequently? You're saying just throw some random can like Greg Hardy in there because you don't want to see a rematch?

Stipe.

And not Hardy, lol.

But Blaydes would be great, sure he'd lost to Ngannou, but may just be threat to Stipe, styles make fights.

Well DC did defend against Lewis prior to the Stipe rematch right?

I think the trilogy is justified. It's more justified than Holloway-Volk imo, and yes this one is back to back for DC-Stipe. Who else really deserved the shot? Ngannou?

Sorry, I know he has a rising Sherdog Cult following now but you don't deserve a title shot after knocking out two geriatric nursing home fighters who are more washed than Sammy Sosa's skin after he randomly turned white, and then one win over a guy was coming up but ehhh not exactly elite.

This was the fight to make imo. Ngannou could have got a title shot for sure, but didn't deserve it over DC per se.

The rematch is a dangerous fight for Stipe. I'm not saying he necessarily loses based on how dominant his last performance was, but even if he does win it's not going to be with the same ease.

I'd really like to see Stipe fight Blaydes. I think that has the potential to be an interesting match-up, but with Francis in the mix I don't see it happening any time soon.

If Stipe wins the trilogy, will this happen again or will Francis 2.0 sleep Stipe?

Who says there is a 2.0 version of Ngannou? We haven't seen him in the cage long enough to determine if he has improved at all and he looked like shit against Lewis.

In his last fight he came in even more muscular and ripped than ever before. Packing on more muscle is not conducive to building cardio. Overeem slimmed down a ton and his cardio improved significantly.

I see no evidence of that at all with Ngannou.
