Still think Pavlovich beats Jones?

Lol he was sherdog`s darling the one that was going to dethrone Jon. now that guy supposedly is Tom Aspinall. When are people going to realize that goat Jones will not lose to anyone in the UFC
<JonesLaugh>
First Gane, then Pav, now Aspinall. Every time one falls the next up "has Jon's number." Goal posts constantly moving lol

Where is all that talk about him owning Volkov in sparring?

I thought Sergei was the next big thing, what happened?
If Houston Alexander's debut happened in modern day, I swear people would immediately be saying that Jones left LHW to duck him. The hype that goes into any fighter who gets a quick finish in modern day is positively mystifying.

Defensive wrestling? Nah. Cardio? Nah. Quality opponents? Nah. 1st round finish over a can? GOAT CANDIDATE. JONES' DECADE PLUS LONG UNDEFEATED STREAK IS INCOMPLETE IF HE DOESN'T FIGHT THIS MAN <lmao> <lmao>

Nothing from the losses to Aspinall or Volkov that Jones would be mimicking in a fight with Pavlovich lol, Jones is still pillow handed as a heavyweight until proven otherwise.

Jones would fight similar to volkov with the kicks. He has less power than volkov (or just about anyone from LHW and above tbh) but he has the wrestling game to mix in too that Volkov doesn't have.

Jones no way KO's him or really anyone at HW minus a clean headkick, but I don't think Pav has anything to offer against a kicking point fighter based on what i saw today. Jones would win 8/10 times with most of those coming by UD in a pointfighting kickboxing matchup.

I think Gane probably tools Pav on the feet to a UD too.

Dude, was all that and a bag of chips....... now he's just a bag of chips

Monster big punch, where's the ground game with his Greco-Roman background??, not the greatest form as far as his standup (slow, looping punches, plodding) - at 32 can he right the ship??

The only heavyweights I'll believe Jones can beat are the ones he actually beats. Luckily for him, he's got a lot of input on who he fights and they don't have to be serious contenders.

Tom Aspinall came back to beat Pavlovich and win the interim title.. he KO'd Pavlovich and people thought that it was a special and great KO. We have a new true champion at the biggest division in the UFC. Tremendous.

Well Sergei just lost his come back fight in a terrible performance against the used, plodding, predictable Volkov (who is a true gatekeeper of the division). He did not look elite whatsoever. Volkov read him like a book.

That brings up many questions regarding Tom's title fight. I'm not saying Tom doesn't want to fight elite talent because he clearly does, but has he actually fought anyone that good before? Jones is clearly levels above anyone he has faced and I am now less certain on the result of that fight than I was before tonight.

People seem to forget, but Aspinall got dropped by Volkov with a straight punch ( he did recover fast, just like wanderlei used to). Also, Volkov was starting to find his timing before the last takedown.

Volkov just did not expect Tom to wrestle that fight.

We have no clue what Jones' gas tank is like as a heavyweight with the extra weight he packed on since leaving the LHW division, who knows if he could even perform like that over an extended period of time.

Well ya, if he gasses against Pav he's fucked. I'm assuming they will both have similar tanks.

Yes, we still haven’t seen jones chin get tested by a heavyweight. We don’t know how his gas tank is with the extra weight either
