Yes and Anderson learned the front kick from him as well. Somehow this technique had eluded him through the years despite being the first kick you learn in any martial arts class. And Miyagi taught Machida how to do the crane kick.I'm sure that groundbreaking knowledge would have gone undiscovered without the master there to teach it.
