Steven Seagal reveals his secret techniques.

So it turns out the best way to get Seagal to be pleasant is to totally indulge him and kiss his ass. He seemed genuinely engaged and interested in talking to those guys, but they had to take everything he said seriously.

Seagal is in pretty terrible shape these days, he’s basically evolved his martial arts style to require no footwork or movement at all. Ready for the comeback.
 
Out of sheer curiosity, I watched that video. He still comes across as a jerk IMO.. is it too much for him to be humble in any form or fashion? He's this large guy who made a living in Japan throwing around little Japanese guys. He mentioned people in America making stuff up about him to ruin him. I wonder if he was referencing the part where Gene choked him out Lol
 
You know, he gets a ton of crap for his outlandish claims and attitude, and rightfully so, but he does say one thing that I think is absolutely true. In a fight, you can’t let your opponent feel comfortable or get into a rhythm. I remember a Fedor being so successful because he always hit hard and fast and always had his opposition off balance.

Seasgal seems like an absolute jerk and a garbage human being. I think he thinks so highly of himself it's just crazy. He comes across like those fake martial arts guys who seem to have told so many lies they believe what they are selling. He also seems incredibly sensitive where he'd go off on anyone who doesn't kiss his ass. Living in denial about his skills.

However.....damn...did I love a good Sensei Seagal action movie as a kid....Marked for Death, Hard to Kill, Out for Justice, Above the Law. Loved them!!

I have been criticising Seagal's "Irimi Nage" for not being much of an Irimi Nage, that is entering throw, at all but rather a strike knocking someone down. So, as it turns out ... it's supposed to be a strike and therefore, a different technique? Can we get any Aikido expert in this thread and clarify what the hell type of technique it is supposed to be if it's not a shitty Irimi Nage?

First I'm not an Aikido expert. I have studied it but not an expert. I was into more Aiki jujutsu which is the original form of Old Sensei . He "soften " it as it was never supposed to be about the fighting it was about developing the person. Segal goes back to the old school for much of his stuff because it's more effective and looks better on camera.

And he is a huge ass hole however is is good with a gun/pistol. Chuck would still kick his ass. He talked shit untill they told him to step up theb he tucked tail.

Despite the hate, Seagal is far more legit than most people here give him credit for.
Yes he is an arrogant ass but maybe that should be expected being a Hollywood actor. A lot of it is hate because he was successful and was the martial arts guy in the 80's and early 90's before MMA was a thing in the US.

And he is also hated because he has been with some of the leading ladies of the era as well.
So what do you expect on an incel basement site like Sherdog

Chuck Norris and JCVD seem to be pretty popular here (and are not considered arrogant asses), so i kind of doubt people dislike him because of his success in martial arts (movies).

That interview was actually pretty entertaining, not sure about severing a brain stem without power tools though…
