I never thought hockey goon style would translate well to MMA, but Patrick Coté and Steve Bossé may be on to something. He KO'd Tehuna TFO with a short right. Meanwhile, the average enforcer will take 10 in the face and keep swinging... and do it again in the next game. Mind you, Bossé was a very undersized enforcer. MMA is probably easy compared to what he was used to.

Edit: I know Patrick Cote was never a hockey enforcer. I meant the free-for-all swing fest he used to KO Saunders looked just like a hockey fight.

I also realize the obvious fact that goon-style alone wouldn't go far in MMA. The UFC probably put Bosse in there as a sacrificial lamb for the Aussie crowd. It was good to see him get his 15 minutes in MMA.

As someone who lives a short drive from Laval, I'm proud to be a fan of Bossé and watch him in the UFC.

the NHL needs more enforcers its turning into figure skating

shame Bosse never had a cup of coffee in the show

Hardy said he's a fan of his from his hockey days, but since when is minor league hockey on TV in USA or UK? I saw somewhere he was minor league, not NHL.

MMA didn't seem too easy when he got KO'd stiff as a board

www.hockeyfights.com? The best fights are always in the minor leagues. It's where you have to prove yourself, and where the enforcers go when they're not needed.

Easy in the sense that he only risks getting KO'd 2-3 times a year, as opposed to playing 80 games and fighting 30+ times. Those guys need some respek.

The Patrick Cote that played in the Nhl is not the Patrick Cote that fights in the ufc
Unless theres a diff Cote that played junior hockey or somewhere not in the nhl idk but not the nhl Goon anyways

Hardy being a Hipster and trying to sound cool.

No, I meant the way he KO'd Saunders: classic hockey fight style. Patrick Cote is too small to have been an NHL enforcer.

TS are you thinking of the one time NHL enforcer and two time bank robber Patrick Cote, and not the martial artist Cote?

He did play for the Nashville Predators lol, I can see why you may be confused.

The LNAH transcends tv there is no league better. The whole Bosse vs Mirasty feud was great then Bosse moved over to mma and Mirasty got to the AHL and KHL the good old days.

That's the right answer. That site or dropyourgloves.com. I used to follow Bosse, Mirasty, Dube and the rest of the guys in that Quebec league back in the day and it certainly wasn't because their games were being shown on televison out here in BC. It was because of sites like those.

Don't forget about Fried Chicken’s Hockey Fight Site. I think it was dropyourgloves.com had a fantasy league for picking who fought who I'd get so pissed when the Wild would scratch Boogaard when they would play the Duck, Oilers, or the flames and screw up my picks.

No wonder he got KTFOed by that Brazilian guy. That style of bar brawlin' isn't good for your chin.

Yeah, that was another site, although I personally didn't visit that site much during that particular time since HF and DYG gave me what I was looking for. And yeah, DYG did have a fantasy league for predicting what fights would happen nightly. Maybe still have it, although I'm not sure if there would even be a point to it in today's hockey beyond what we see in the LNAH.
