Typically I try to stay away from these type of stories but Stephen A Smith, knows better.
Nash was hand picked by Kevin Durant, who for those not in the know is a black dude that can rain buckets.
Well the Nets paid Durant a shit load of money, so if Durant wants a Hall of Famer former point guard as his head coach, then why not give him a shot. Its not like Nash knows nothing about basketball.
This is a non issue because Durant wanted him.

All white people should just go on strike for a month. That will put an end to this identity politics bullshit. Real quick.

Stephen A. come on man, not everything is about race

I remember a player named Avery Johnson who played for the Spurs, he retired and like the next year he was coaching the Mavericks. As you can see a black guy was groomed for the job. Be better Stephen A

On October 28, 2004, Johnson retired from playing and signed as an assistant coach with the Dallas Mavericks under Don Nelson. Johnson had played under Nelson from 2001 to 2003, and it was understood from the beginning that he was being groomed to eventually succeed Nelson as head coach. His transition from assistant to head coach came five months later on March 19, 2005, after Nelson resigned.

Not to mention he punches like some Trumpers I know around here

What is there to discuss? In the link itself, plenty of well-positioned people, black and white, disagree with SAS.

What is there for us to discuss? That we do or do not agree with Stephen A. Smith? That we do or do not agree with the people who disagree with Stephen A. Smith?

Where's the political element here?

For me to inject race when race is not the issue, I think sets back legit race issues.
I know Political hosts and sports hosts, tend to do the hot take for ratings, but Stephen A went too far, inferring race was an issue when clearly it was not.

Yeah I was like really? He’s one of the greatest point guards of his era and they want to paint it as white privilege for clicks.

Correct and point guards are like catchers in baseball. They are the floor general which typically translates into a good coach.

Avery Johnson, Jason Kidd, Marc Jackson, Isiah Thomas, Doc Rivers

I understand why people disagree with SAS but why do we, meaning the WR, need to discuss this matter?

Let's say that we agree that SAS went too far. All that follows is racial kvetching which I can't see the end goal of. What are we going to resolve? That Stephen A. Smith says stupid things sometimes? Feels more like a Sports bar thread.

I'm going to be upfront, I'm leaning towards moving it to the sports bar...unless it turns into a race shit thread, then it's going to the Great Beyond.

Steven smith is a total ass clown and I think we all know this. his having a job at all under the circumstances of the constantly asinine shit he says is some kind of privilege.

where's he at the protests? this guy is just baiting a demographic.
