Steve Garcia has 5 straight KO/TKO wins

#10 Giga or #13 Mitchell are both reasonable choices. 5 fight KO streak justifies a ranked opponent imo. I think Giga could be a potentially more interesting test for Garcia. He has a polished, technical style designed to sort of neutralize brawlers like Garcia. Mitchell matchup is also fun, but could be more brain damage for Mitchell

That was a nasty elbow to the back of the head tonight. I hope they don’t take away his victory, cause I do think it was accidental

Need not worry, they never overturn anything.

If they didn't take away Weidmans last win I'd say it's basically a free for all.
This, if they did gane would have 2 less wins due to hammer fists to the back of the head. He was winning and going to win the fights he did against JDS and bam bam but he did blatantly hit both in the back do the head.

That's a perfect example, and Gane's were blantant AF.

Those 5 wins had a combined UFC record of 15-13 before fighting him?

They really should have been giving him better and better guys each time, cuz jumping from Kyle Nelson to a ranked guy is big

Mitchell is the one for me, I honestly don't know how that would go - Bryce is probably good enough of a grappler to cause Garcia fits and put him on the back foot for extended periods, but Garcia just needs those little openings and he can really hurt dudes.

Kyle Nelson isn't an easy guy to finish, but it looked like academic once Garcia started landing that GnP. I don't know many guys, regardless of toughness and chin, who can withstand that.

Then again, Garcia has largely styled on guys that aren't elite. That's why I think Bryce might just shut him down and possibly tap him.

That's a very twisted way of viewing the history here.

Kyle Nelson is now 3-1-1 in his last 5 UFC fights, with the loss being to Garcia.

Chase Hooper is now 4-1 in his last 5 fights, with the loss being to Garcia.

And Choi is 1-4 in his last 5.

Nelson did get a 3 fight win streak before Garcia. Against who exactly? 2 people no one has ever heard of and Bill Algeo?

And Chase  has had a turn around, but that comes with a division move, up to LW. Again against fighters who are either cut or middling.

We're making a case for a ranking, remember. We can afford to zoom in on the facts more than just a number of wins

Tbf, JDS turned into that elbow sir.
That part is iffy bc it was a straight to the back of the head elbow that led to the finish but it was JDS that turned, I'm not calling for a dq or anything but that really could have and maybe should have been a no contest but like I said he was winning those fights either way.
