Steve Bannon - "The media is the opposition party"..."Should keep it's mouth shut!"

He's right. We've passed dystopian sci-fi levels of dishonest media in this country. Almost every news headline this week has been fake news.

--Trump told agencies to stop using twitter. FAKE NEWS.
--Trump is scrubbing the EPA website. FAKE NEWS.
--Trump is cutting all EPA grants. FAKE NEWS.
--Infowars is getting press credentials. FAKE NEWS.
--Trump got our democracy downgraded to "flawed". FAKE NEWS.
--The State Department officials all walked out on the Trump administration. FAKE NEWS.

And thats just off the top of my head, but I know there was more.
Those are alternative facts.

It's interesting, because my dad is a serious Christian and he voted for Trump. But to him, Hillary was literally the devil. (Okay, well maybe not literally, but damn close.) So for him, if the choice is a flawed human being who will push through the kinds of policies that he agrees with or Satan incarnate, then the choice is clear.

You sound like what I'm hearing a lot of people identify as today, a "classic liberal."

Are you familiar at all with Dave Rubin?

I do hope he stops being petty. It is unbecoming. He's the President of the United States now. He's got to try to put his ego aside. That much I will say.

In any case, I don't mean to make light of the situation by saying this, but regardless of whether he exceeds or fails it should be one hell of an entertaining ride.

I'm not familiar with Dave Rubin, but I will check him out. Probably someone I'll enjoy. Yeah, I'm not a part of this new wave of democrats. I think Bernie Sanders is a good guy, but I think he has the easiest job in the world. Really easy to say these fantastic things, very hard to do. I've been a democrat much longer than he has, that too actually bothered me.

One way or the other it will be very interesting. You're right about that lol.

Re: Dave Rubin, your comments on the far left made me think you might be into him. He's a lifelong Democrat, but also recognizes that there's a problem in the party and on the left in general. He refers to himself as a classic liberal.

He has a YouTube show where he interviews all kinds of different people--both on the left and right--and it's very good. He doesn't get into shouting matches. He feels like we should be able to both agree and disagree peacefully.

Here's a quick vid that kind of lays out his position on today's far left:

Ok serious question here - what's the proper way to cover Trump? How is the media supposed to react when he lies and acts like a little kid? If the Trump says 2 + 2 = 5 should everyone meet him in the middle and say it's 4.5? Wouldn't want to be biased.
The MSM?

They can't.

Why? they've covered Trump for 50years, they have an ingrained bias against him and in this day an age where clickbait and the sound bite reign supreme, they don't care what he says, they just want him to be "sensational" to get clicks.

They also have fragile egos, they've spent 2 years laughing at him and finding every dirty crumb they could on him.

Megan Kelly thought, she'd live a carefree life as the woman that GOTCHA'd Trump

Her other questions to Trump were just as stupid

Where all the other 15 candidates were getting asked campaign questions, Megan is desperately trying to "GOTCHA" (and failing) Trump, he had "work in" his policies with every question, cuz the MSM weren't interested in Trump as a candidate, they were interested in him as a "joke" and seeing how many clicks they'd get tonite.

Maybe if Trump wouldn't say so much stupid shit. Bannon sounds like he needs a safe space.

How are things in Ukraine- still getting cucked by Putin? Has he taken more of Ukraine's land?

Hmm, maybe I'm a little different. Like, when I'm in a car about chatting with friends I say shit like that. The other week I was going out with this chick, I was talking to my friend about the girl. I told him, "I can't wait to bury my face in her back side and smell her asshole." It was a joke. I suppose there are some men that don't make these types of jokes, but for those of us that do it's pretty recognizable in that context. Men boast around other men, we shit talk. At least my friends and I do. We don't take what each other say literally. Maybe it's a generational gap, but when I was growing up it was pretty common.

Fair enough.

Let's do it man. From the sounds of it, our interests don't seem too far apart. We just want America to rise and our people to prosper. Let's just enjoy the ride.

I looked at it as him saying "I'm rich and I can do whatever I want to women" and I believe that to be fundamentally different from joking or boasting about sexual conquests. Like if my buddy says he hooked up with a girl from the bar, then i'll congratulate him, but if my buddy says he hooked up with a girl from the bar because he slipped something in her drink, then ill punch him.

I certainly do not want to push this PC culture on anyone. That shit is annoying. But I don't think that concern is an irrational one.

You and I are not that far off. There are good people with good ideas on both sides of the spectrum, and both political parties are necessary for this democracy to thrive.

Yeah, but I really hear it as a joke and not meant to be taken literally. If I won the lottery and became famous and was going out to a club with some friends and before we arrived I said, "yeah, it's crazy being rich. Women let you do anything you want, you can just grab them by the pussy", my friends would recognize it for the hyperbole it was. I think the key thing about what Trump says is "they let you do anything you want, you can walk up and grab em by the pussy". Just how I interpret it, truthful hyperbole. Truthful that women love rich and powerful men, and hyperbolic that yeah... women won't let you walk up to them and grab them by the pussy. When I first heard it, I was in tears laughing. Then the media started talking about "how sick it was", then I realized there would be a spin job.

The PC culture is a very dangerous culture, though it seems benevolent. It's straight out of the Marxist playbook.

PC culture lead to the deaths of an obscene number of people and was intentionally designed to silence opposition and distort truth.

I guess interpretation is key. But that was far from the only flaw I saw in him. Just something I would expect the christian right to get upset about.

Political correctness used to be the enemy to us liberals. Bill fucking Maher had a show called politically incorrect if you remember. Democrats just need to walk away from that. You can create a more tolerant world without constant shaming of people for thinking differently.

It still is. It's the enemy of everything except the communist party. It's scary as fuck. Critical theory has no end. The only goal is to destabilize a nation so it can lead to communist revolution.

Pretty worrisome comment coming from the administration. I get that the media isn't perfect but our imperfect media is a far lesser evil than an administration that intentionally marginalizes select portions of the media.

Trump really does seem to have a fragile ego that can accept no slight. Dude needs to learn to let it go.

I'm watching the video now, and its without a doubt catching my attention, BUT you must understand this video is making a lot of assumptions. It is overlooking a lot of possibilities. Interesting without a doubt though.

I think being too 'PC' is ultimately puts people off. It can alienate and even divide people. I don't know that I believe it to be a part of a secret communist agenda, but its horse shit either way.

Remember: "The workers will arise and overthrow the owner class". Now replace workers with oppressed minorities and owner class with "privileged white male". It becomes painstakingly obvious at that point. Once it clicks, it clicks.

Here's the thing: It really is a part of the Marxist agenda. It's quite a rabbit hole to go down, but you can find interviews on youtube of people from the Frankfurt School (even founders) that fled Nazi Germany, ended up in Columbia and started spreading it before WW2. It's all sourced. The Nazi's hatred Marxists and Jews, the founders of the Frankfurt school were both. They were given refuge here in the U.S. and we've been infected ever since. To top that off, catch the video in my sig, the Soviets were trying to push that shit here too with espionage and subversion. Remember Communism is an international threat.

Andrew Breitbart discusses it here.

I don't know man, it just seems like we're making an awful lot of assumptions. I don't know that I would write it off completely, but it is difficult for me to connect all these dots. Either way, you've given me something to watch.

Keep researching it, it will click. Our academics accepted them with open arms because they were "oppressed intellectuals from Nazi Germany". Our mistake was thinking they were benevolent. Their entire goal was the destruction of western civilization. No doubt that they've seriously altered it, but it's not destroyed unless they win a civil war. The globalist and Marxist connections (Soros, is a well known example) that funded Clinton really make me raise an eyebrow, but I can't be sure that they are part of some conspiracy, but I can be sure they have been influenced by Marxist ideology from her (admitted) influences (Saul Alinsky, for example).

Here it is straight from the horses mouth. Now remember, this is a pro-Marxist propaganda film.

Emigration to the United States
After emigrating from Germany in 1933, Marcuse immigrated to the United States in 1934, where he became a citizen in 1940. Although he never returned to Germany to live, he remained one of the major theorists associated with the Frankfurt School, along with Max Horkheimer and Theodor W. Adorno (among others). In 1940 he published Reason and Revolution, a dialectical work studying G. W. F. Hegel and Karl Marx.

I'll give you credit, because you've clearly got some background knowledge on the subject. I like watching this stuff, I don't mind. But I would caution against believing any of this to the fullest. But you never know! Agree or disagree this stuff is fun to dive into.

It took me probably a full year of research before I became convinced. I'm a skeptic. I don't believe anything. But at some point, the evidence becomes insurmountable. I'm at the point now where I can say with 99% confidence that I'm running with the correct hypothesis. Even if incorrect (which I don't believe it is), it is a working model or a model that is "true enough".

The thing about it is the gravity of the situation western civilization finds itself in. It's why I've become so passionate about it.

Check out more Bezmenov videos, read Andrew Breitbart etc. I'm surprised at how many people have figured it out. I don't know much about Bannon, but I trust Breitbart would've made sure his successor was "in the know". Trump coming out against political correctness when he started running was a good sign.

I'm filled with optimism with the Trump administration. Even if he fails, in my opinion he is the last hope of the west. A lot of eggs in this basket.

For sure man, like I said, I enjoy diving into this stuff. Wasn't Breitbart viewed in a more positive light than Bannon? I feel like I've heard that. I've got no choice but to wish Trump the best, and hope he is truly fighting for everyday people. I'll remain skeptical, but we all win if that's the case. I'm all for someone saying political correctness being over the top is ridiculous, but I believe saying the president is a secret Muslim from Kenya (or whatever) his kind of beyond that scope. Doesn't really matter now, he won and now I just hope for the best.

Edit: Yes, Breitbart was. I answered my own question.

I don't know much about Bannon. I imagine a lot of the criticism is media hyperbole to demonize him. I mean, he is one of the biggest Zionists in the media (check out his work with Breitbart Israel and number of Jewish writers), yet MSM calls him a Nazi and anti-semite. That's a red flag right there to question the mainstream narrative.

I don't think Obama is a Muslim from Kenya. I think he is an atheist that honestly believed socialism would make America a better place. His Marxist influences are well documented.

Like Bezmenov said, most of the damage to American ideals and values are being done to Americans by Americans. They are what the Soviets called, "useful idiots". "They will be unable to come to sensible conclusions about how to defend themselves, their family and their community". What else can you call this?

You can find some of the headlines Bannon has ran, at least some of the criticism of him is just. I find his quote in this thread to be troubling.

I think that's a generalization about Muslims based on a sect that is not a good representation of the whole. I live amongst a lot of Muslims, and none of them feel the urge to kill homosexuals. Just as none of my christian friends feel this way. But seeing people twist a religion to their narrative as an excuse to behead journalists, or kidnap school girls is enough to make my blood boil. I hope that's a problem we can deal with in our own way. Hopefully with less dead civilians than the Iraq war, or Putin's annihilation of Aleppo.

He should just let the press dig their own grave. People have seen through them just fine with minimal help from Bannon.

What he says is mostly true though. A lot of the media have positioned themselves as opposition and it's their mission to skew, undermine, and fight Trump every step of the way.

I agree.

The globalist MSM have lost alot of credibility last year, IMO. And not just in the USA.

Fuck em.
