That sucks. I was always a fan of the guy, even though he had his failings. He was a yuge part of the UFC resurgence. I remember watching that TUF season on its initial run, and it was very entertaining. I personally thought he didn't get enough respect, but people are fickle. RIP Bonnar.

With how off the rails he's been I can't say I'm surprised at all, sad as that is to say. I really liked Stephen and every time I saw a negative incident involving him I worried for his well-being. This is absolutely gut-wrenching... it was he and Forrest that I credit with getting me into the combat sports in general. Terrible.... Rest in peace, Stephen, I hope you've finally found some peace. Condolences to the Bonnar family and his closest friends.

Stephen was my guy during Forrest / Bonnar.
When he lost, we collectively gained respect for Forrest Griffin.

He legitimized him. Forrest remains.

Bonnar, went from fave to avoided. Bad downslide.
Fabia, arrests, roids, kooky stuff but drew a line at the hospital behavior.
He is definitely in a better place.
