I have stated numerous times that in terms of actual in-ring wrestling ability, a '90-'95 Scott Steiner may have been the very best (his biggest problem was safety and psychology). Anyhow, we all know Steiner is a jerk and a crazy man. Here's a little shoot that is often forgotten when we talk about Scott Steiner and it was live and on camera.
During Scott Steiner's time in WCW, he was giving free reign to do and say what he wanted. The booking committee and Bischoff would just give Steiner a certain amount of time for his matches and his promos and what he did was up to him. On a Nitro in November of 1998, Eric Bischoff was not present due to a personal matter and Steiner was about to cut a promo on Kenny Kaos who was partnering with Rick Steiner at the time. Just as Steiner was about to cut a promo, as usual before his matches, James J. Dillon gets on the mic and decides to make an announcement unbeknownst to Steiner so Steiner flips out and shoots on Dillon. Makes a beeline toward Dillon, pushes Dillon, takes the mic and Dillon basically runs off fearing for his life while Steiner shoots on the a live mic. Buff Bagwell was basically trying to keep Steiner from assaulting Dillon. The man is crazy
