Yeah, umm, NO. Pet foods are chocked full of so much processed grain and garbage... you don't really believe it's the meat that's making animals obese, do you? How often do you see an obese feral cat or dog? Just about never and that's because they're on what is almost a 100% protein diet.

Really? House cats are really just small versions of a Lynx, so think about what the diet of a Lynx would be. Lots of people have gone "wild" in terms of feeding their animals and as far as I know it's been successful. Cats are a bit tricky though as they eat every single part of their prey... the eyes, brain, bones, everything, which gives them an amazing variety of nutrients that is hard to duplicate.

these are my pets. i make fresh meat meals for them everyday.

the dog loves steak, pork, and chicken; but hates tuna and any seafood.

the cat loves seafood, is ok with steak, but likes chicken second best.

they both love fried eggs.
hey, i love steak and eggs. not hating on carnes. but the truth is the truth.
