In his campaign he tweeted an attack against an opponent’s wife based on looks. Rashida was at least addressing something that has something to do with government.

Nah, it makes perfect sense to bring up Trump. It would like criticizing Trump for collateral damage from the drone program and getting mad at someone for bringing up the fact that Obama basically pioneered it.
