They were still on Amazon Prime recently with the Hawaii girl grappler vs. Danaher's young girl grappler.

One had since the beginning too much ambition it can afford.

The model used by Chatri is a not a model that gave profits, but run based on investors. Basically, One is good for one thing, to receive money from investors and to burn it. Their product is worldclass, but they do not generate money from it.

As the bigger you are, and the less profitable you are,
The faster you will burn money, the faster you will burn money,
The faster you will end in thered, the faster you will end in the red,
The sooner you will become bankrupt.

The video game was a huge flop, a huge failure. But still was not fatal. One became an inactivity trap, if you cannot book all your fighters 2 3 fights a year, release them. If you do not release them, they will be inactive anyway, they will lose momentum in their careers, a lose for them, but also a lose for you, since they will complain, and give you a very bad image. At least, allow them to compete in small and medium organization for one single bout contract.

In the history of One, One never was profitable in MMA. The only way when One was profitable in MMA, is by making asians fighters compete, even against B or C tier competition if they were local star and local heros, nationalism attracts crowd, always, a burmese fighter who fights for the belt or defend his belt will attract a crowd in his homeland, team lakay sold well in philipines. But that's it. Conquering the US market was only a dream who became a nightmare, at least financially.

One is only profitable in Thailand, with these Muay-Thai and Kickboxing nights events with MMA gloves, time to time, One is profitable in Japan, as well, but nothing special. One do not have a clear strategy, to finish the end game well.

If One is not able to be profitable and to make money, they have an oustanding talent at attracting investors, and apparently, they are never running out of investors. Qatar complained, and said that it was very disappointed with venturing with One. Still, over time, One accumulated a bad reputation, and the honor, humility, compassion, discipline ended-up to be more a marketing bullshit of martial arts than a reality.

ONE Samurai, a new monthly event series in Japan featuring the nation’s top martial arts stars and next-generation athletes across MMA, Muay Thai, kickboxing, and submission grappling.

They are the second biggest MMA promotion, after Combate of course.

BTW... I don't know why you guys are so obsessed with the finances of ONE, and even worst why some root against them.
They put fun cards (I love 4oz Muay Thai) and other than fucking some fighters over contracts, they are a net positive in MMA.

I think people just got a little tired of the smoke and mirrors Chatri use to mouth out about in every other interview. He'd tell people next quarter or third quarter we'll be profitable. I think he used that line for 5 plus years anytime an interviewers asked him about One's finances/growth. But every time the financials were put out there is painted an uglier picture than the year before. I give them credit for having a hell of sales pitch to keep raising capital.

I don't think anyone wants any of these orgs to fail, they just want orgs that are truly stable and can be a real alternative for fighters not fighting in the UFC. Seems like every time these org go out of business or are sold it leaves many fighters in limbo for extended time periods.

ONE is doing well. They seem to be getting it down. In Kickboxing and Muay Thai they are at the top. In MMA they are only about third or 4th.. because of small mma roster.

Finances who knows it certainly sounds like they are doing better. Their plans are not so crazy anymore and spending is down. TKO ufc owner still has greater debt around 4 billion they say they should pay it off by end of year but I do not see it.. though 7.7 billion for seven years will only net 1.1 billion this year and whatever wwe does.. they just bought AAA.

It's a strange thing people do for non-UFC orgs. They just love to hate on them, even world wide fans on here - usually citing that they hate them cause the promoter lies, which is about the equivalent of hating something cause a politician lies.

I also think people wanted to try to sound smart by saying ONE would die every year, but since it hasn't they have to kind of double down since no one likes being wrong. It's obvious ONE isn't going anywhere, but you'll still have people on here talking about profitability, money laundering, and how they'll be gone next year.

you're absolutely right, ONE puts on entertaining cards and as a fan that's mostly what I care about.
