STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS v4 (First Look at Luke Skywalker)

From me it is not racism. It's that they got the ugliest person to cast as a lead.

If it was Johnny storm or falcon I wouldn't be bitching.

The guy looks like he has down syndrome

Actually, that's why I like Boyega's casting. He doesn't look like somebody from a CW show and come on, you could argue that he is not handsome but the dude is not ugly.

Sidious was baiting him so he can convert AnaKAN.

Palpatine had Anakin during the opera scene and most certainly after telling him the tale of Darth Plagueis the Wise.

It was over by that point. The dark side had him but it didn't come out until he lopped off windus arm. Anakin was played like a cheap fiddle.

And mace couldn't beat grevious but Kenobi did. Also Yoda would crush Windu.

Well, maybe he did have Anakin in his control already, but I still think Mace is supposed to be the best Jedi fighter.

And I remember that Mace severely injured Grivious in just 2 seconds or so. Did they actually go toe to toe?

Yeah Sidious willingly made himself horrifically ugly with force lightning and planned on Mace repelling it right into his face....

lol

Mace was stronger than Sidious

lol at Mace not able to take out Sidious with 3 other Jedis.

Siths don't care how they look. Do you even Star Wars bro?

Evidentially u don't know how force lightening works. To wield force lightening it might turn the user into some type of deformed creature.

It's pure dark side force and it might or might not deform the user.

Lastly having himself scarred for life only helped him further pull the wool over the senates eyes and giving sympathy even further to palpatine. Having his move to single ruler made even easier.

Did u even watch the movie.

We would all be better off if we hadn't watched the movie

But am I to understand that it's implied Palpatine accused Windu of disfiguring him?

He wouldn't have been disfigured there if Mace didn't repel it.

Also, the statement of lucas in reference to the scene. He states that Windu was always going to overpower him and that acting like he was losing his power was added. Neither in the novel nor in the movie does it truly state when he starts acting like his power is fading. It does state when he portrays this to anni but not when he starts. So through this statement it is still a feasible option for Vapaad to have over powered Sidious without using much force abilities on him.

So Sidious anticipated for Anikan to show up right there at the moment:

But didn't see this betrayal coming?

Yeah okay lol

He fried like a chicken and Sidious said i took scars from this fight.

When George Lucas said

Okay, well, this sequence always started out with Mace overpowering Palpatine, and then Palpatine using his powers to try to destroy Mace, and Mace deflecting his rays with his lightsaber. And it always was that Anakin cut the lightsaber out of his hand. But this part where he pretends to lose his power and be weak was something that I added later.

That is what he meant. Simplest explanation.

He wasn't "switching audiences" halfway through talking. Or retracting his earlier statement by modifying it mid-thought. Nobody talks like that. Especially not if you are being filmed on a blockbuster triple A movie commentary. They would just edit it out.

If he wanted to say Palpatine was faking the entire fight, he would have said "Well, this entire sequence between Palpatine and Mace is where Palpatine is playing possum while he waits for Akain to arrive against Mace."

^ Simple. Easy. But not what was said.

If you can't put it simply, you don't understand it well enough.

Simply put: Mace beat Palpatine. Why?

Lucas said it. Jackson said it. Movie says it. Novel says it.

Can you interpret what they said? Sure. But that is YOUR interpretation, NOT what they SAID.

Mace was WAY younger than both Palpatine and Yoda, more physically overpowering, he overpowered Palpatine in the saber duel. That is what happened, and what the director intended, because he SAID that.

Palpatine is the ultimate mastermind Sith, the ultimate mastermind Sith does not take unnecessary risks. He does not "allow" a Jedi Master to hold a light-saber to his throat in hopes that it will turn the Chosen one to his side or hopes that that Chosen one does actually stop him in time.... or hopes that Mace doesn't simply pressed it an inch forward when it was at his neck. The dude would've ran from Yoda if he could've

Sith don't gamble their own well being.

Seriously. The movie was released 2005. But in now its "Oh, no Palpatine was totally faking".

It isn't implied, . Palpatine straight up tells the senate that his disfigurement is due to the Jedi.

He talks about it in his final scenes in the senate.

All it did was help him bolster his position even further. Everything was planned by palpatine to u fold this way. He had to come off as weak so Anakin could unleash the dark side power that has been growing in him over all this time. But especially after the opera scene

And if I'm not mistaken for a sith to use force lightening it has to be used on them first.
Which is really what causes the Disfigurement. Not always but it could and does happen.

The opera scene in revenge of the sith is the greatest scene in all the prequels. The writing, acting, dialogue, music and over all tone is just hands down amazing. Sadly they couldn't do this throughout all the prequels.

I corrected some things from my previous post.

I should've said before that the user has to have the Lightning turned on them first before it could be used by them. Which might or might not cause the changing appearance.

Also Sidious at this point in time has a strong grasp on future visions. The car side paved the way for all this to happen. It took thousands of years but it unfolded the way palpatine wanted.

Jesus Christ that gif just reminded me of how shit Hayden Christensen acts.

That was the only decent movie of those turd prequels :icon_lol:

Didn't someone make a fan edit of the prequels to get rid of all the Jar Jar scenes and stupid shit that actually made a decent movie. Something like 20 minutes got cut out.

The story itself blew balls. Some fucking trade blockade and a bunch of stupid shit was ultimately the main story. And there was no stand out protagonist; that's not even counting Jar Jar and all the stupid shit they added like having Chewbaca and Boba Fetts father and so on.

Always knew that he was faking it. I thought everyone understood this.

What people are missing from the Windu > Palpatine, Yoda > Windu and all that stuff is that Jedi have different saber styles. It's like MMA in that it's all about matchups. Obi wan has a more balanced style while Windu's is very aggresive. Can't remember the name but yall can look it up

this thread seems to be investing more thought and intelligence into these movies than the actual filmmakers did.

Topher Grace cut all three films into a single film and cut out all the bullshit. Essentially making it action packed from beginning to end.
