Fin holding his own with " Vader" in a lightsaber duel was ridiculous.
He didn't hold his own. Ren toyed with him, got caught because he got cocky, then destroyed him.

Wait, what?anyone see the rouge one teaser?
anyone see the rouge one teaser?
I thought you would take it a bit worse, to be honest.See, this right here is why I stopped coming into TV threads. I don't watch trailers for freaking TV episodes. I don't look at any pre-release of material. I don't even watch the teasers at the end of TV episodes for the next week's episode like with The Walking Dead. Why would I do that? Fucking why? I'VE ALREADY MADE THE DECISION TO WATCH THE SHOW. It's so dumb.
Now I don't get to be surprised by this moment when it comes around. I'm pretty fucking pissed. Stuff like this belongs in spoiler tags. Really, I don't even see why it needs to be posted in advance. FFS. First thread in a year where I was really loving the discussion, then this happens.
I came in to discuss the newest book, and now I'm salty. Mainly I'm angry at myself because I didn't learn my lesson the first few hundred times. Thank you for the reminder. I'm out.
I just started reading some of the books, thanks to @Luger for the hook-ups, dude is the man!
Started with Path of Destruction, all about Darth Bane, and now onto Rule of Two. In the first book, the sith mentioned 7 styles of lightsaber combat, of which Bane was learning Djem So.
But also, started watching The Clone Wars on netflix, only a few episodes into season 2. But I'm loving Ahsoka's character, and the way she uses her lightsaber. Was wondering if that was also a particular style? Or is it just her personal "flair" in the way she holds the blade, kinda like a reverse style.

I cannot handle that soft plush animination the star wars cartoons use. Its like watching marhsmellows fight.
It's a shame they have to market it for the kiddies. The stories have shown to be well written enough for a live action series. I also think that special effects have come far enough to do a series justice.
I don't think a lightsaber up your spine is holding your own in any way that I know.
TCW animation is good
Is it? Maybe I just don't like the style. There seems to be a lot of people who are enjoying the show, so maybe that's it.
It just annoys me, despite how much I enjoyed the story in the episodes I watched.
I don't have a problem with animation, one of my favorite shows ever was Avatar the Last Airbender.
Avatar was one of my favorite shows as well. TCW isn't my favorite style of animation, but it quickly grew on me. Still haven't gotten use to SWR animation though.
I'm about to give TCW another chance.
Too many people are saying too many good things about it.
