From the sound of it, you'll never know since you won't be seeing the next 2 episodes. I've never seen anyone in my life so butthurt over such a tiny scene in a movie as you are to your hero Kylo getting his ass whooped by a femi nazi. You need to take a breather and realize your opinon is in the minority, we also live in 2015, about to be 2016, men and women are equal, deal with it you misogynistic pig.

Dude it's as obvious she's Lukes daughter as it was that Han was going to die in the movie. I mean they foreshadowed both pretty heavily.

They SHOULD explain where her powers came from. It's a huge plot-hole. But like I said, she has the same mind reading ability Ren does, and she aborbed a bit from him when they were 'melded.'

It's the first movie in the trilogy, this will be explained. She is obviously force sensitive and is great with a staff. Kylo is a immature kid who ended his training too early, he isn't a Darth Vader with a huge back story, he's a young padawon.

It occurred to me but my thinking was Ren would have known. He knew when Solo was close by, it makes sense that with his force affinity he'd recognize his twin sister he presumably knew prior to her being put on Jakku.

Fun movie, but I can't get over how long the closeup on Luke lasted. They actually changed angles multiple times and he changed nothing of his expression. Kind of like that gif of Chuck that keeps zooming. I almost burst out laughing.

She can read minds like he can. When Ren tried to get in her head the second time, she got in his and maybe absorbed some of the force knowledge. I don't know if anybody has brought this up yet. HOWEVER, this isn;t the matrix, and she can't 'download' full fighting power like that, if you aren't questioning the stupidity of this, you are shilling for this movie too hard. It was good, but some holes need to be filled. They would do well to show that she in fact had training and her mind wiped or something. They need to start thinking about writing this in if they already have not. I mean, was it just magical girl power? But yeah, she did absorb some of his thoughts.

As I mentioned it is star wars nerd stuff, she basically let the force control her actions when she fights Kylo with calmness.

It is a reference to the EU Luke and other Jedi use it multiple times throughout various books.

Their needs to be a better guideline on what EU stuff will be used and what won't be. They should give us some type of hints at least, people would probably flip if they realized Darth Maul survived the fall in the EU and just randomly showed up in one of the movies.

This is also possible. It would explain why she hit it off so well with Han, why she could resist Rens power. It would also fit in perfectly with the "Legacy of the Force" storyline that I believe they're trying to build. In that storyline, Han and Leia's son becomes evil as fuck, Luke runs and hides, and Han and Leia's daughter is forced to fight her brother...which may likely be what's happening.

However, they'd have to do a massive explanation as to why she was abandoned on a shit tier planet.

No. The most they got into it was Han saying that it was legit and some old dwarf critter had a few words about it as well. I'm sure Luke will expand upon it in the next one.

I thought the scene maybe would have ended in a force-pull of the sabre or something. It was a long buildup for just the title card. He should have at least reached for the damn thing.
