Picard looked like a man who could pound some scotch
When alcohol was ever mentioned on TNG it was generally Romulan Ale, which was apparently banned, legally.

In Relics, Picard pounded some green shit with Scotty. When alcohol was ever mentioned on TNG it was generally Romulan Ale, which was apparently banned, legally.

That is the best Star Trek anything ever made, that episode.Sisko appears to be drinking whiskey during the pale moonlight. And you just know with the heavy shit from this episode weighing on his conscious, plus having executive override of the replicators safety protocols, I bet he was drinking the real gonna get fucked up whiskey.

Picard's family was making wines so I would expect him to drink a red one every so often.

The best Star Trek anything ever made was a title.
"For The World is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky."
If it ain't Tea; earl grey; hot....it's bullshit
although that Klingon coffee sounds good too
They actually make it seem kind of fruity in DS9... More like something you'd have at Starbucks and get in some Italian sounding size, with low fat milk and cinnamon sprinkled on top.
Dude, Archer kicked ass and got his ass kicked all through that show and it was an underrated series.I expect this thread to die fast, but anyone else notice that each of the show-leading Star Trek captains have a drink that gets associated with them through the episodes - with one exception.
Captain Kirk:

Coffee. Black. She beat the Borg with it.
Captain "Grow a pair" Archer:
Nothing? Water? Who the hell cares?
What does it mean?...
Alcohol was allowed on Space stations, and openly sold in various businesses. It was not allowed on a daily basis on the star ships. I don't know what channel you're think of, but ~23 hour-long episodes per season is still the norm for network television. I can't think of any non-sitcom that I've seen that's only 30 minute episodes, and only cable does the ~12 episode seasons. The Star Trek series made usually 23 hour long episodes a season, nowadays the standard is 10-13 30 min episodes. Whats really crazy is, star trek was producing multiple series, and movies at the same time. Just a insane amount of content being produced.
